yeah i remember when it had water in it...it would have been early 90's though

Hey Joe is your number plate mount just a shelving bracket from Bunnings? I'm moving my plate to the side like this soon but the 'legit' mounts on ebay and stuff are heaps (like $60 last i checked then you gotta pay shipping).
And what bolts did you use etc? I don't wanna put something in that will loosen with vibration and come off

Mine was just a right angle piece of 25mm wide plate and a straight shelving bracket.

Bolted the angle piece to the baby tooth, the shelving bracket to the angle piece and the number plate to the shelving bracket.
Bolts were what ever I had lying around in the garage. The would be M3's to mount the plate and M8's with a tanking washer to mount the bracket.

Update time!

The style bar is gone.
A series of electrical gremlins appeared about two weeks ago that ended up just being a simple dead battery.
Keen for the upcoming JDM Fest on the 4th, then the club track day on the 5th.
Possibly buying some coilovers before then.

Took advantage of the rain this evening and went out for some photos :)
Enjoy!

After much bitching and cocking about, the coilovers just arrived. Plan on starting the installation tonight.

good luck!

it's pretty easy to do, just takes some time.. plenty of WD40 and a breaker bar and she'll be right.

Well it was the breaker bar that did me in...

Front drivers side went in without a hassle. Generous use of the giant torque wrench but all was well. Got the old one out and the new one in, in about an hour and a half.
Trying to get the vertical bolt out of the knuckle on the front passenger side was my first really difficult bolt. Torque wrench wouldn't do it so I got a breaker bar over the top of it, then proceeded to snap the socket into tiny pieces. When that happens at 10pm I think it's time to call it a night :(

Going to Sydney/Blue Mountains for work tomorrow so will have a look at it again on Saturday morning.
