Thanks for the comments everyone - I really appreciate it!

Finally installed the Jackson Racing CAI. Was a bit of a pain in the ass but not as hard as some people make it out to be. Impressions? Only been driving around for an afternoon and I love it! The sound is amazing (under 3000RPM it sounds the same as before but above that it sounds completely different). There is definitely a noticeable improvement in performance. VERY HAPPY with my purchase. Anyway, here's a pic of my multi-coloured engine bay :

Image

I really like how it cleaned up the hot side of the engine bay and I think I'll try and delete/tuck some crap in the engine bay now (Planning on getting rid of the air-con and power steering). Still waiting on the frame rails!!!

One of the classiest (sic) around.
Just out of interest how much were the wheels and tyres, I am sure people would be interested. With the wheels, what is the meaning of disk 0?
Original wheels might have looked interesting if the centres were painted yellow and then you could have painted the trick mirrors yellow too and have yellow tow hooks for fangs. Lip looks great, stance is outstanding. Engine so clean and pretty.
Interior, even though not down to yourself is unbelievably nice. The only reason I am not tearing my eyes out is that the black paintwork must be hell to keep clean and very hot in summer. Also I can't believe you never take the hardtop off, bit shy? (you could take photos to show off the rollbar.)

I like your engine bay man, especially the colour of the brace, I'm looking forward to seeing you what you do next. Any pants for a wiretuck or anything like that? The Jackson racing CAI looks pretty schmick. :D

Sigh.

Care to explain why it's so terrible that he is a young person?
Oh, and before you do, let's see you do it without using emotive language or stereotypes.

Let me help you:

Some P platers have a bad attitude and shouldn't be driving. Same goes for every road user. With driver education the way it is, naturally, the least experienced road users are going to be more inclined to make a fatal mistake, but that isn't a reflection of the person, it's a reflection on the driver training and attitudes of their parents or driver instructor(s). Sure, personally definately plays a part, and those road users with a poor attitude, not just P platers shouldn't be allowed to drive until they learn some respect.
There is no point in me saying that I have had more bad experiences with a certain group of road users than others as thats a reflection on an individual or two rather than the whole group, The truth is, your brain stereotypes everyday due to the sheer amount of information it takes in, but it is the negative stereotypes that have the biggest impact.
"Even after a person leaves a situation where they faced negative stereotypes, the effects of coping with that situation remain," says Inzlicht. "People are more likely to be aggressive after they've faced prejudice in a given situation. They are more likely to exhibit a lack of self control. They have trouble making good, rational decisions"

Let me break it down, if a young P plater is told how terrible P platers are and they are a menace and a danger to society, they are more inclined to act that way.

Let's face it, driver education in Australia sucks, but we have all been through the same system, so passing judgement on another is a waste of your time. If you have done advanced driver training hats off to you, a smart decision but it still gives you no right to negatively stereotype against others. Your best move is writing to your local minister and asking them to act of legislation regarding advanced driver training or better roads etc.

Think before you generalize about about a massive group of road users, logic dictates they aren't all the same.
bootz, I have tried to avoid making this a direct attack on you, naturally, as I am responding to you, you may feel that I have jumped down your throat, but there is information in here especially regarding negative stereotypes that are poignant in other aspects of life, socially, in your career, etc. I hope this helps you see that, even if you have had a negative experience with a young driver that it's ludicrous to lump all into the same pile.

Thanks for the compliments and other comments . I'm not going to say how expensive the wheel setup is because its embarrassing - you should be able to figure it out though by using google . O disk means the wheel is designed to have as much dish as possible (as opposed to leaving room for larger calipers - Work wheels allow you to decide what you want to do when you buy the wheels from them).

Twinlol - Would love to some form of wiretuck but not as extreme as some of the other tucks going around because I'm not too experienced with electronics - I'll have to see how much spare time I get on uni holidays between work . Thanks for sticking up for the P platers :D.

Just my own opinion on the whole P plate crap. I don't understand it... I spend at least 1 - 2 hours driving almost everyday and I NEVER exceed the speed limit in traffic. Yeah I'll admit I go for the 'spirited' drive every now and then but ONLY when I'm alone and ONLY when there is NO ONE around (honestly... is there any MX5 owner who doesn't?). The thing I don't understand is that everyone on their opens claims to be such a 'good' driver yet when I'm on the motorway doing 100 I get people with no P plates speeding past me, often with kids in the back. I was even at a local park recently and saw some guy (with his family in the car) ripping skids in the carpark... Yeah there are some P plater's out there that have no idea and drive like idiots - there are also a lot of open license people in the same situation. In the future please don't judge a group of people due to the actions of a minority. Thanks.

And

Oh god, I just noticed he's on P plates. I think I might just shoot myself.

Thankyou Alex for getting it so right, How can everyone else get it so Wrong.??

Listenup children, The above is not derogatory to Hazi.

The fact that I wanted to point out was if he is a P- plater, he is probably young (I think you can agree this is a reasonable assumption to make)

AND HE IS DRIVING A FREEKIN CAR THAT I WOULD HAVE GIVEN MY LEFT TESTICLE TO HAVE AT HIS AGE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.

Now approaching cardiac danger zone I have an Mx-5 to call my own.

End, everybody clear now ? Now shoot me.

I could have said:

Hipster dudes, chill out and do the hand thing that you do, with all the Hippin an' Hoppin an' Pippin' an' Poppin' listening music while you're driving on Eccy at twice the speed limit, flaunting your "p"s.

But I didn't, because I don't resort to cheap stereotypes or even irony.

K lets all be friends now . By the way - You'll be glad to know I have worked very VERY hard to be able to afford this car (so no I'm not one of those young fella's that frequently goes to the bank of Mum and Dad :)).

UPDATE

Thanks for the compliments everyone! Seeings there is so much activity in this thread I may as well do an update...

I finally received the frame rails! So there I was installing them, had removed the seats/carpet/etc and they don't fit :x. Usually it is expected that they wont fit first go due to the frame rails being a bit deformed from speed bumps/incorrect jacking/etc but mine are stuffed (Despite my hammering I couldn't get them to fit). Probably should have just gotten someone else with more hardcore equipment to squish them back to the right shape but I am in need of a new radiator so I sold them . As a result I now have a Koyo radiator on the way!. Unfortunately I wasn't able to go any thicker then stock due to the JR CAI - However I'm sure the replacement will be far better then the crumbling, rusting radiator that's in at the moment!
