Yellow Speed Racing coilovers

That's what I do. I only carry one in the car and leave the rest at home for spares.

I have left them in. Would want to be a hell of a jolt to lift one out and they keep the dirt out.

I don’t want to change your plans but you can get a set of Bilstein PSS9 kit 341166 from SHOX.COM for about $1850.00 delivered to your door. I just bought a Eibach Pro-Kit Springs for $199.00 and $100.00 delivery. That’s about 1/2 price you can buy here. Seems a shame not to take advantage of the Aussie $

Looking back I wish I would have just bought the PSS9 kit. I would have had the best suspension for peanuts.

i got yellowspeed coilovers in mine. dont know how they compare to other coilover so if u wanna test them out before getting some ur self pm me.

I put my Yellowspeed street in about 8 weeks ago now, after a steering alignment and Bedding in they are now fantastic, handling is sharp, good response. I found the standard setting way too soft I am sitting on 4 clicks back from full hard at the front and 6 clicks back on the rear. I spent about 4 hours getting the ride height right then spent 2hours on the Damping adjustment on Mccars Creek road near Mona Vale. I found the Standard setting was a bit vague. but its good for 45Km/h on a right angle 15km/h corner in the wet. Setup is currently good have to really provoke it to get it to step out and when it does its only a little bit and its allot of fun. =D

I'm tossing up getting these. How does the standard (soft) setting compare to stock shocks?

I put my Yellow Speed in a few months ago but haven't had much time in the car since putting them in as I've been out of the country. I had them set a little harder than the recommended settings and noticed the car was quite bouncy, it almost felt like the car jumped over bumps when hit at speed. Maybe I need to be setting them harder. I really need a track day to dial them in properly which won't happen to next year now.

First of all the Shocks took a while to bed in they weren't that fantastic at first a bit bouncy but after about 400kms on the car they were sweet. On the standard setting I would say they were quite similar to the standard shocks I dropped the car about 3cm from Stock height. I just found on the recommended setting there was way too much body roll for my tastes =P

Thanks for that. I've been toying with getting something done for a while now but want to be able to set them close to the stock shocks for when my wife will be driving the car for an extended period of time. She complains about the lack of power steering occasionally and a harsh ride would't go down well.

Although maybe I can use that to my advantage and she won't drive my car anymore...

well they are installed, went through Galson Gorge straight after having them installed..and wow they are pretty amazing comeared to the old Koni/King setup. I have found them a bit bounce in the rear, but i will let them settle first before i adjust anything.

Im off to Wakie tomorrow, so i will post up how they are on the track

good stuff. Report back what changes you make, if any, and for what circumstances. As in road or track
