Re: MX5 Club spec?
Does a '1998' model year even exist in Australia?
If it's a very late NA, it could be a clubman (not sure if any were sold in 1998, there's a list by year somewhere on this forum), but if it's a very early NB then there was no such thing...

Supreme Blue NB8B, 1:16.98 at Wakefield when stock, but it's not stock any more...

Re: MX5 Club spec?
Caff, you might want to rethink that one.
The NB was launched here in March 1998. The Americans, in their brainless way, called it a "1999 model", but the first NBs were definitely built in 1998.
BTW, Club Spec was the name used for a trim level that was available on the NC when it was launched in the USA in 2005 (again they call it a 2006 model). They had Club Spec, Base, Touring, Sport, Grand Touring and Limited. It was not a description that was used here. And there was never a Club Spec in 1998.
The Clubman was sold between 1993 and 1995 (real years, not American ones!). They could be ordered after 1995 (until end 1997), but none were ever delivered.

If I wasn't mistaken, Mazda released a lightweight version of the NB8A called the Roadster RS in 1998 - most of them were white. But I'm sure this was a JDM only.

Do you know if the car you inquired about is an import or a local delivered model?
