Call mania and tell them.
D on'tgo and widen the holes just to fit them, you'll just end up killing the car.

Josh's Na6
Getting angry and cursing them won't get you anywhere Josh.
Go and get some sleep and start fresh by calling them in the morning. If they are a faulty unit, mania are not at fault, yellowspeed are. Mania are liable to replace them though if they are deemed faulty.
I always go by the saying "treat others how you would want others to treat you". I think you will find that keeping a cool head will help you achieve the result you are after much quicker.
Please also keep in mind that the guys from Mania are very active on this forum, ranting here may cause them to think differently about helping you.
If this sounds like I'm having a go, please try not to take it that way, I just want things to work out well for you.
All the best

Re: Josh's Na6
Agree with Cheyne here, I can understand your frustration but it's not going to do anything at all to help...
Call Mania tomorrow morning and go from there... They're great guys and know there stuff... I'm sure they'll be able to help. Don't do anything like widening the holes... Either the unit is faulty or something about the way you're installing them is wrong. Don't modify your car to suit a faulty product (if it is faulty) get the right part.
A couple of silly ideas...
Are you sure you're not trying to install a rear coilover..?
Have you measured the gap between the two bolts? Whats the difference between then and the OEM shock?
Have you tried putting an old shock back in the way you're putting the yellow speed ones in so you at least know you've got the right angles when you're installing them.
Start with the easiest solutions and work from there. Good luck!

Re: Josh's Na6
Ok well I'm about to lose a lot of respect from you all now...
A mate and I attacked it with a power drill and widened the existing holes and smoothed them off with a file. The coilovers fit in after that and everything was straight bolt up. Although one of the nuts on the other tower was rounded off so that had to be cut off like the first one... But I found a replacement.
It's currently sitting 100mm from the road and on standard damper and preload. I'm happy with the ride though I'm going to get better replacement nuts for the ones that have broken. The new ones I put in after the originals had to be cut off were just a temporary solution while I took it for a test run. Will be heading out first thing in the morning and getting better ones.
Furthermore, a friend of mine earlier on in the day undid a power cable next to the driver side shocker tower... What I didn't notice until after he had left was that he accidently snapped one of the wires which led to the car being unable to start. Dad did a dodgy and striped the wire and re connected it but it's not going to last long. I need more wire so I'll be doing that first thing in the morning as well. The only other thing I need to do is put the big plastic pan back on that sits under the engine bay. That can wait for now.
my conclusion so far is that the coilovers run really nice on the road but if I get another set I won't be installing them myself again.
Has anyone ever encountered the tops of the shockers being slightly off the size they should be?

You widened the holes and got impatient?!?
That's all I have to say. I would not deem the car 100% safe after hearing that.

Impatience is the privilige of youth.
They have so much longer to pay for their mistakes.

Josh,
Use the largest contact flat washers that you can find as well as locking nuts.
Cheers.

No one's trying to patronise you, but I think everyone here is surprised you took that course of action.
I would get advice from a good mechanic before you give up and sell it. It might also be worth giving Mania a call and explaining the situation to them.

I'm on your side mate, I just didn't want you to do something that was irreversible to your car without knowing the consequences.
Did you drill holes in all four corners of the car?
