Have you used the camera yet? When I mounted mine straight on top of the bar there I found that it wasn't angled well enough to show lines etc on the track.

Re: Joe's NA6
Yeah, used it at the Speed of the streets day on the 19th. Basically wasn't high enough to do anything useful beyond roughly confirming my timing. I borrowed a mates old N95 and threw race chrono on it which only somewhat worked.
The day was relatively quiet. There were only two groups of street cars, one of race cars and one of open wheelers. There we're about 10 cars in my group but a bunch of them broke throughout the day. I got many clean laps but my times weren't spectacular.
Finally, somewhat unrelated to my car but I picked up a 95 ZZR600 yesterday. I needed a new commuter now that my girlfriend took a new job last week and no longer works in the same building as me. Means I can't just steal her car all the time

Re: Joe's NA6
What a coincidence...
...I just dusted my old 2005 Honda XR250 that's been on storage at my parent's place in Nelson Bay for the last four years.
Changed all the fluids, charge the battery and got her going. Went riding over the Easter/Anzac Day long weekend. Though I gotta get my legs back when it comes to riding on the big sand dunes at Stockton Beach.
My bike looks just like the one on this picture, except I added Ego barkbusters, Ballards skid plate and removed both rear mirrors

Woot!
Hillclimb yesterday was a world of fun. Stayed dry all day, took over a second and a half off my previous best and won my class (type 3, 1601-2000c). Even got a shiny little trophy to show for it. Also had an interesting experience where 3 kangaroos jumped out on the track in front of me during my 5th run. Was never going to hit them but it was somewhat of a shock to come round a corner and see them bounding across the track.
OK, I'll admit it now, I may have been the only person in my class.
Two sweetest words in the English language? De-fault! De-fault! De-fault!

Great pic of your car

If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Re: Joe's NA6
The rear of the outside shoulder for each seat hits on the corner of the interior trim and I needed to get custom made lower mounts for the drivers seat. The height was fine normally, but but head would just touch when I had a helmet on. They're great seats for the all rounder; they're comfortable enough to be daily dríven, fine on long trips, and still hold you well. Mine will be up for sale fairly shortly, only because I want something more track orientated.
And speaking of track orientated, I had a productive day today...

I think I've seen that colour before somewhere. .
Will be interested to see how they look on a black car!

Re: Joe's NA6
Somewhat familiar hey Ben?
As I mentioned to Daffy, I've wanted to do it for ages but seeing the colour of yours sure didn't hurt the decision making process.
Hillclimb with the SDMA today.
Was freaking cold! -4 when I first got there, still rather cold throughout the whole day, just could not get any temperature in the tyres all day. 6 runs total; incredibly slippery and sideways for the first, came off on the second, best run of 53.1 for the third, got progressively slower over the last three. Overall, wasn't really happy with my performance but still had fun.
