Try carrying the brake further into the corner and being smoother coming off the brakes.
This will a) stop the car susp rebounding so quickly, and b) allow you to corner faster as there is more weight on the front tyres, therefore more grip.

I already have a bad habit of trail braking too far into the corner.

He means brake later into the turn and decrease brake pressue (via the peddle) slower.

but
a) there has been no rebound issue noticed/described
b) there is no issue with front grip

so i don't understand how this will solve the oversteer problem?

If the weight is coming off the front then there isnt as much grip than if there was more weight on there.
Hence my point about trail braking to keep the weight on the front to help it turn in better, rather than lift off the brakes just before or as you are turning, which would unload the fronts and reduce your front grip just when you want it the most.

I assumed the when zoomzoom mentioned "this car" he was referring to th OPs car. I did not realize that "this car" wasn't in reference to the car the whole thread is about, which has the oversteering problem.

The oversteer issue is pretty much under control now that we've firmed up the rear shocks. I know that sounds weird but it was just getting loose when the rear springs were unloading.
