Dann doesn't care about you. If someone asks a question, he'll give his answer, and ignore everything around the sides. As a result of this, every piece of advice he gives is in some way useful to the person who asks. I'm sure if you whacked a curb and broke your entire suspension system, he'd say you had it coming.

I appreciate that you understand my attitude towards forums. :)

Lee is right. Ive answered your questions, and left the decisions up to you.
Im not sticking up for you, Im simply reminding everyone else that they have 2 choices:

1: Answer the question and add some useful info to the forum.

2: Talk down to Slimx regarding his atitude, and add nothing to the forum, along with have zero chance of changing his attitude.

I know this because I had the same attitude once, and its slowly changing with time, as people told me it would. But for now, with all the Govt's scare tactics adds, and everything we are told all day by our parents, some faceless names on a forum cannot change his attitude.
Yes, this attitude give us young blokes a bad rep, yes drifting on the street is dangerous for everyone, but if OP is happy to endanger himself, what chance do you have of changing that attitude? What do you think he thinks about others lives? I agree with you all, but whinging wont add anything to the forum, answering his legit fitment questions will though.

I personally have no problem with people going into a deserted industrial estate on a rainy night alone and drifting the roundabouts or the huge cul-de-sacs for a bit of practice. In fact as long as its kept in that situation at 2am with no one else in your car and no pedestrians (2am and pouring rain) it probably is a good thing. Might keep them from doing it up the main drag on a friday night and hitting pedestrians like what happened 6 months ago in newcastle (WASNT a P plater by the way).

Tire wear in the wet is far reduced. Especially if you've got tires wide enough to aqua plane.

Seeing as your only sliding in industrial estates occasionally why not go something decent like a ku 31 and see how you go?

Or get a spare set of rims with your old (legal) set of tires and throw them on as late night skid rims?

I use an old set of bridgestone re 001 predessors on spare rims for my gemini. Slides quite nicely on a skid pan with all of about 30 kw at the wheels I believe. They have probably done 6 hours of pan work with no noticeable tread loss.

ROFLMAO........

In all seriousness, given that this is a forum for all walks of life... how about...

1) We either answer the questions like Dann did and leave the rest alone or;
2) We just don't answer the questions to show our dissapproval for the OP's choice of lifestyle.

I do agree with Dann that if it's not your cup of tea, then there's very little that we can do as a forum-member. This is when our tax-dollars should REALLY be going to work with the blue heelers.

Correct me if I'm wrong but you were the Dip sh*t that made the above comment that is the cause of the concern and comments.
Im sure that Woo Fong make a very suitable chinese Tyre for your rears and some PS3's would be great for the front so you could donut your Bogan heart out.
As for being 20, You say that like its an excuse for being an idiot! I have a 16 and 18year old with more intelligence in there dirty socks than you have, so shut your mouth and listen to people who have seen the carnage and aftermath that bogans like you create with your self centered, arrogant, I know what Im doing attitude.

There was a post by Minx about 12 months back about a young bloke who was also brilliant behind the wheel that killed 2 of his mates, when he put his commodore into a tree. grow up

Things are getting a little heated here, let's try and keep it civil. 8)

I disagree that the critical comments about the OP's intentions add nothing to the forum. I also disagree with the suggestion that we should ignore comments/questions that we disagree with.

For what it is worth, I believe that there are times when it is important that alternative viewpoints are put. For me, and obviously others, this is one of those times.

To remain silent in the face of gross irresponsibility effectively condones that behaviour. Should someone we know be injured (or worse), or should we even hear about some idiot having an accident, I for one would forever regret not speaking up.

Some of us who have been around this forum for a little while will remember two threads. One concerned an incident in the UK where a driver, out with his mates (IIRC), lost control, had an accident in which somebody was injured, and (again IIRC) spent some time in the slammer as a result (see link above regarding the accident itself, and see the search function for the discussion about it on this forum).

The second, concerned one (or perhaps two) members of this forum who were killed in an MX5 accident (in the wet? In Sydney?). Again, a long thread followed in which the manner in which we drive our cars on the road was much discussed.

I wonder if the OP would care to revive one of these threads, and after reading the posts provide his own comments?

Regarding the first one: viewtopic.php?f=51&t=32543

The second I feel bad about bringing back into anybody's memories, but I suppose you're thinking of this thread: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=41849

You say you would regret bringing up your feelings.

I agree. But I dont think it does anything for anyone but yourself. It alleviates you of guilt, not much else.

It's all attitude and it needs to be adjusted. Not just the OP but most young drivers myself included have to prove to society we aren't just hoons and careless. This proof itself takes years, and by then we are beyond our young driver years. Such is life.

edit-
ALMOST every accident ive ever had, i was going 0km/h. I got rear ended twice, Swiped off a stop sign and hit from the side on the m4.
The only one i got blamed for was the stop sign, for creeping out to see without "waiting 3 seconds".

there are heaps of P platers, if you dont commit a crime the others will, so why sit there thinking you not doing anything will make a difference or make an example to others.

Dont be stupid.

I asked a question, answer or f*ck off, I never said dann is up my ass or agreeing with me, i just said hes the only DECENT person here.

and HjT first round my go kart was sh*t :( and if your comparing a car to a go kart your car must have shocking handling and a shocking motor.

You have a chance to be shot while walking outside your house, In none of my posts does it say im gonna be DRIFting like a psycho in peak hour traffic...
Give up my question was answered
so LOCK The thread, stop the pointless f*ck wits from making dumb ass comments
