It came up at the Auctions in Tassie, had a whack in the front, could see from photos that it had some mods, SEs' don't come up that often so had to have a go, and I got it.
I knew it would cost a bit to get it to Sydney but with some help from Chris at MX5 racing and his contacts down there we got it back to Sydney.
It was not too bad a hit, the good thing was the previous owner had fitted all the good bits which included...
-Intercooler upgrade.
-Forge BOV.
-Begi intake elbow
-AEM intake
-Bigger injectors.
-Adaptronic ECU with Turbosmart boost controller.
-Big exhaust with a really nice dump pipe and high flow cat.
So you could say I hit the jackpot with this one.
It is a repairable write off so I could be fixed and re-registered but this was always going to end up as a track car.
Since getting it to Sydney it's been stripped out and all the bits I didn't need sold off.
Than it went to Hume Smash Repairs and they worked their magic and it's all straight and ready for action.
I had to replace the front sub frame and some of the suspension, did that and gave it a wheel alignment and it all looks great.
Have also fitted a Tomie 4.1 LSD and a set of Buddy Club Junior spec. shocks that I had in the shed.
So here it is, still a few things to do but it;s very close.
