Thanks! This will be fun...but might have to find somewhere closer than ACT to getaway with it regularly!

There's one in Newcastle I think? Maybe the Hunter?

I'm mindful of taking Joe's thread OT (I trust you don't object Joe?), but all the hillclimb info can be found here: http://hillclimbnsw.org.au/.

It's King Edward Park (KEP) hillclimb at Newcastle and Ringwood Park at Raymond Terrace.

There's also the Esses Hillclimb and the Mountain Straight Hillclimb at Mount Panoarama. Club events are hosted by the Bathurst Light Car Club, with dates for 2012 on their web site http://www.blcc.com.au/. The site is down at present, but should be up and running again soon.

A bit closer to Sydney, the Wollongong Sporting Car Club run the Huntley Hillclimb. Six rounds are planned for 2012. More info: http://www.wscc.org.au/

Nice! Thanks guys!

And Bryan, Wollongong would be great...good reason to visit Five Islands after that. Haven't been there for a long time.

Picked up a complete set of pads during the week and got them in today along with the new rotors. Huzzah!

Whoa, over four months without an update. That's not right!

OK where to start.

Got a Recaro Profi for Christmas. Still not in yet but will be soon.
The zipper broke on my rear window about 6 weeks ago. Ordered a new roof through Carco which was supposedly delivered but never came. A replacement was then sent, which arrived last week.
Sold my hard top two weeks ago.
Picked up a set of 15x8 6UL's with 205/50/15 Federal 595's the same day.
JDMST end of month meet in Sydney last weekend.
Had an alignment on Thursday.
Changed the oil and coolant on Friday.
Went to the Natmeet concourse on Saturday.
Went to the Natmeet trackday yesterday. Awesome first session, 4 laps all within two 10ths of by PB. Many cars off the track in the second session meant that I only got one uninterrupted lap. Third and fourth session saw me break my old PB a couple of times, ending up with a 1:15.42 as my new PB. The remainder of the day saw me put in a bunch more laps in the 15's, very happy with that. Then bad times again :( Driving to Sydney last weekend was the first time in awhile I'd dríven my car. A couple of times it kinda felt like my clutch was slipping, but only appeared to happen occasionally so I dismissed it as just being used to the clutch in the LE and sucking at changing gears. I'd noticed a similar feeling a few times throughout the track day, but again, nothing major. Out in the second last session, second last lap it certainly was slipping. Just could not get power down when changing gears. Brought it back in early, went for a drive around the pits and there was no mistaking it. Pretty sure it's time for a new clutch.

And that's where we're at.

Ah, those are Kevin's old wheels, right?

Nice to see you on the weekend. Don't be a stranger :D

Yep Matt, Kevin's old wheels.

God my front bar looked terrible that day. Still hasn't been washed since coming back from Sydney the previous week. Lots of bugs make the stone chips look even more prevalent.

It's a black car, unless you wear a car-bra everywhere, or just don't use the car, stone chips are inevitable.

Honestly, I like that it's modded, but also clearly is used.

To any onlooker who is an enthusiast, these things matter :D

And you can aspire to a nice bespoke front end in future... Zoom Engineering, perhaps :D

Eh. I'm really not that concerned about it. I know I could make it clean again, but I know I'd rather spend the money on other things. I'm thoroughly enjoying the car as at the moment.

However, every now and again when I find a new blemish it's still a little sad.

Boy, do I know that feeling.

Owning a car from new just makes each blemish hurt that much more, too.

But as I like to tell people, I was having fun when each and every one occurred. So it's OK.
