Also what size bolt will be needed, no idea what size the hole is in the dorian.

Tried bolts but the heads stuck out too far and stopped the Dorian from seating properly. I used 2 self-tapping screws, about 12mm long with a countersunk head. They need to sit flush with the surface of the mount or the Dorian will not sit properly. Just bring an assortment of sizes on the day - only takes a few minutes to install. Best to put it on the top side of the undertray flap so you won't lose it if you get bogged in a gravel trap!

BTW I'm skipping round 2 but will be there in the arvo to say hi and attend the 2011 awards presentation afterwards.

Hi again guys

What sort of comfirmation should I have received for my entry to this round.
Our club track days, Zan sends you a grid sheet, form to sign and track info.

For this supersprint I have received nothing like that.
All I have got is a email from Dianne Mawer, saying my entry was received, and a payment receipt through Evolve payment with NSWRRC listed on it.
I will print and bring that stuff, but is that all you really get?

Luke,

Each club does it differently; but what you've got should be OK. If in doubt shoot Dianne an email seeking confirmation.

Have fun...

That is standard practice for NSWRRC events. Think yourself lucky you got a confirmation email! See you tomorrow afternoon Luke. I'm a conscientious objector tomorrow but will be there to spectate and attend the presentation afterwards.

Nice! EC is one track I'd LOVE to run, always a favourite on PS2 - by the way things are progressing in Wagga Wagga with the proposed track there, read an article online, link is below

http://www.dailyadvertiser.com.au/news/ ... 28254.aspx

Once this gets up and going it's only 4 hours or so from both Sydney & Melbourne. I will post more as info becomes available!

Landline dropped out 10pm last night, fix time? try Anzac Day!! Then I realised USE THE MOBILE USB BROADBAND!!

Have fun!! :D

Results arleady up...
http://www.natsoft.com.au/cgi-bin/resul ... /2012.ECNT
Thats fast

Only got 4 sessions in the day.
Why only 10 cars on the track? I thought they would run 12, if they did that they could have had 7 groups and we probably would have got 5 runs.
They could have even had 7 groups after the first run with 10 cars in each, as alot of cars dropped out.
Plus we started late which didn't help.
The sessions were timed sessions rather than laps. They strated with 8 mins for the 1st, then dropped it for 7mins for the rest.
Some sessions went easily for 10 minutes though. My dad timed some since he was the start finish flag waver.

I would highly rate the north circuit though. High speed fun.
Also went a for a drive up the back to see the South circuit.
The track looks almost done, but there are no facilites and the road to access the back is still gravel.

Hmmm... sounds like a typical NSWRRC event; hence why some of us choose not to attend them!

I know they had high hopes that a new C of C would straighten things out; obviously that strategy didn't work.

Tony, I wouldn't call it bad as such.
I still got 25 timed laps in those 4 sessions, 3 with 6 and 1 with 7.
Plus a warm up and cool down lap in each sessions so that’s another 8. And the track is longer than Wakefield.
Though price per lap was still expensive with the high entry price, but I save by not having to drive to Wakefield. I'm 10-15 minutes from Eastern Creek.

I reckon they could have used the back entrance at turn 4 though to let cars in at the end of the stints, I can see what their safety concern was though.
The instructions should have been to only go off there at the chequered flag.
Any other time you want to go off during the session, use the pit entry.
I can also see why they wouldn’t do this, some pricks go do another lap even with the chequered flag out. If I were the timers I would have deleted all their laps for those sessions.

Dad also told me yesterday, that they could run 12 in a group!!! They just chose to have 10. They had 12 at the end when they were combing groups.

The biggest issue for the day though, which is also part of why they started late, not enough volunteer officials.

Well looks like I will enter the next round as well at Wakefield. If I entered the first round I would have been 2nd in the point score for 2C :(

I'm now entered in a supersprint at Eastern Creek North Circuit on Sunday 6th May 2012. The round is being organised by the Jaguar Drivers Club of Australia as part of the Combined Sports Car Association (CSCA) Supersprint Championship. Entry fee is $185, Dorian hire is $15, garages are FREE (first come, first served). That's a damn site cheaper than the $245 + $15 + $25 = $285 charged by NSWRRC for the same thing. Entry numbers are capped at 110 (only 10 more than NSWRRC). They are very close to the limit at the moment, but still have several spots available. Members of non-CSCA clubs are welcome. Entry forms and Supp Regs are HERE for those who're interested.

I participated in Round 1 of the CSCA Series run by Club Lotus at Wakefield, as it was on the Saturday prior to our club day in February.

It was a well run event, with a good mix of cars; lots of entries though but there were plenty of runs available towards the end of the day. But I guess each club will be different, just the same as it is with the State Supersprint series.

I will certainly be monitoring the cost of the CSCA events vs the State series and may change my allegiance if the costs keep rising.

Did anyone else here respond to the survey circulated by the Supersprint Panel?

Tony, I saw your name included in the CSCA Round 1 results ... along with a few other familiar ones. 100 drivers at Wakefield Park is a huge field, and it's surprising that you got as many laps as you did - a sign of a well run event. It'll be very interesting to see how the Jaguar club do.

Yes, I completed the CAMS Supersprint survey. Haven't heard anything about the results or initiatives that will flow from it.

Well... yes and no.

CLA did run a smooth event that's true, but you also need to look down the list of competing vehicles and you'll understand my comment about "plenty of runs available towards the end of the day"! It was very much like a day out with the good folk from AROCA.

Round 4 Eastern Creek/Sydney Motorsports Park GP.
Saturday 21st July

Who else is going.
I sent my entry in weeks ago and have not had a reply.
I actually emailed it to Brian, and called him to see if it was OK, as the Supersprint site said otherwise(send to Janet, post or fax only, are they for real!). He said sending the entries to him is fine as he gets them in the end anyway for processing, and his email is on the Payment sheet.

Has anyone received confirmation that they are in???
