"Mad Muther of a Mountain Brekky Run" - 5 Mountains Alternative
Due to Muthers Day, and brekky options, the 5 Mountains Run has been updated!
It is now Only 4 Mountains, but we threw in a Lake!

Date: Sunday May 13th 2012
Start Time: 6 for 6.30 am sharp departure
Start Point: Hoop Pine picnic area , Mt Coot-Tha

Hang on... the brekky stop is now at the top of Mt Glorious, and there's one less mountain but the estimated time to brekky is later than originally planned...?

Can you please give us a brief synopsis of the route intended.

I'm keen on coming, but I need to skeedadle immediately after. Thanks Minx.

We are going to run out from Cootha and skirt Wivenhoe before coming up the back way to Glorious for first in first served order yourself brekky.
After brekky you can go on your merry way to spend the day with your Mummies, if required.

Would be good to see you there Ron,
If you cant get your old bones out of bed that early, there are plenty of lunch runs throughout the year.
This is normally the only early morning brekky run, and was enjoyed by the 17 odd cars that attended last year.

After brekky there is a variety of ways to find your way home, over Nebo or boring main roads, but it also leaves you with the full day ahead to enjoy. Or visit your, or someone elses Mum :wink:

PS Bring a beanie and also, we wait for no one

I will try my best....but since retirement I am a bit like the model Evangelista I don,t drag my body out of bed for money less than five figures.

Retired for 9 years and we'll be there. Beanie is in the car for Mrs JBT, heater will be selected to warm/feet & legs and my cardigan has been dry cleaned.

I was there at 620am. I drove around anzac park, through it. Sat nav does not recognise hoop pone picnic area.
Couple of suggestions. 1) a mudmap, 2) a contact number for rhe organizer.3) a place that is a darn site easier to find. 4) a suggested route, so that anyone running late or who as trouble finding the spot can at leat try knows which way you went.

'Hoop Pine' is almost opposite the old 'chip factory' and Dairy - I know it's a bit late for that now! Best route is up from the Toowong roundabout, and head towards Channel 10, it's on the left just past 'Slaughter Falls'
