yeah ive heard that with 6uls. But these arent exactly super lightweight racing wheels so im sure they can withstand it.

Blacking out the wheels seems such a waste. You could do that to a cheaper rim and still look good.

u can spot these wheels from ages away. not something i want. Anyways like i said, not to everyones taste

Having gone down the painting wheel path previously, check with your painter prior.

My wheel repairer/wheel painter advised me that I should powder coat the rollbar, but paint the wheels as powder coating chips easy, and doesn't hold the same as painting would.

I like your new look tbh.

to 'black out' your wheels, you could 'Plastidip' them.
If you dont like it, you can peel it off!

Just did my front lip, to hide some stone chips (and Mazda wings emblem) matt blck

I wouldn't risk powder coating the rims, it's not just 6ULs that have issues, any time you reheat an allow to high temperatures you'll affect its structure. Why not Plasti-Dip, at least you can revert back easily.

Also, why do you think black rims will hide the brake dust? I would have thought it makes the evidence even worse unless you can colour-match your black rims to "brake-dust black" (it's more like a very dark grey). Just ask anyone with a black car, ANY dirt/dust on the car makes it look filthy.

Easier than painting.

Every time the wheels are dirty, spray with this, leave it for 30sec, hose off.
Brake dust will be gone.

I use this stuff, it's great at removing brake dust (also can be diluted 1:1 with distilled water if you only have light brake dust)
It's also paint safe, so no worries about painted centres/lips (or even car paint)

The only downside...........

It smells like horse sh*t.

I've made my mind up with the colour. Im trying to see if my mate has time to paint them if not I'll get them powder coated which is what I was always gonna do.

Like I said might not be for everyone but I'd so much prefer full gloss black
