DETAILS: It’s that time of year again. The weather is settling truly into winter, early morning frosts are common, temperatures away from the coast are dipping below zero, and the sunrises are spectacular!
It’s time for the Iceberg Run. For those not familiar, the Iceberg run is a top-down ‘dawn-buster’ run, in a similar vein to the Healey Club’s Brass Monkey run. The routes chosen incorporate twisty and tight country roads much better suited to the MX5, and breathtaking scenery as the sun rises en route to a hot breakfast.
This year we will depart at 6am from the Eastern Creek McDonalds (westbound on the M4) and head to The Oaks, then via some scenic Southern Highlands back roads to Yerrinbool, then via Fitzroy Falls, to breakfast in front of log fires at Two Skinny Cooks in Berrima.
As with all prior Iceberg runs, rain permitting, this is a NO roof event! Rugging up in thermals, and big jackets and scarves is all part of the fun! Do be prepared, though, for temperatures below zero as the route is both inland and at altitude.

RSVP Please post your name on the list on this thread if you are keen to join the Iceberg Run as this will enable me to let the café know how many big breakfasts to have ready to go at 9.30am!!
