Bills for April are in:

NB8B Brakes, brake lines, MX5 Plus Roll Bar and other minor stuff - $2,651.24
Ecliptech Shift Light - $185.00
Sparco Sprint 5 & harness x 2 (MX5 Mania - inc postage) - $1,410.00
Coolbreezes air scoop - $44.39 (inc postage to Oz)
Autovation MX5 pedal set - $93.12 (inc postage to Oz) (http://www.autovationparts.com/store/mazdamiata.html)
Nopro washer bottle - $152.57 (Rev 9 - inc postage to Oz)
R888's and rims - $1,000

I'll try and do some photos when I am home next (18/05 to 22/05).

Plans for May:
Have seats installed, have rear camber bolts replaced (waiting on the bolts from Mazda), swap the R888's to the 6UL rims and the current tyres to the other rims (and use these for day to day driving), possibly a butterfly brace as well. This should be the last of the non engine mods to the car.

The decision on the engine has been made - doing a high compression naturaly aspiriated motor (thanks for all the advice). Now I just need to fund the motor, the plan is still to transplant in Nov 2012.

The 30X had to have a radiator replaced, the 800M still has an electrical fault and the Fiat X1/9 is still getting its rust removed.

Bills for May are in:

Buterfly Brace - $799.00
Install seats, catch can, shift light, pre-track day service, wheel alignment, 24mm front sway bar - $1,152.49
Cornerweighting/Alignment - $320.00
Short shifter (Long), Thermostat (from Miata Roadster) - $554.56
Hardtop (from here) - $1,000.00
Garage Vary Nose Cone (from here) - $200.00
Nomex suit (2nd hand), helmet (new), gloves/boots - $1,209.94

June's plan is to have the nose cone painted and fitted, tossing up the painting of the Hard top as well as the buterfly brace installed.

The rest of the spend will now be concentrated on the shopping list for the engine transplant, at the moment in November. Currentley looking at engine blocks that can go to 85.5mm as this will determin the build.

I'll post some photos of the catch can install by MX5 Plus, it is a very professional job :)

Point, it should have been Short Shifter/Tall :) http://www.miataroadster.com/miataroadster/miataroadster_short_shifter_kits/mrssk5t/i-412194.aspx

Actually I appreciate the feedback as it implies that this thread is being looked at :)

Whilst waiting for my GV lip to arrive (due to a bumper not being a very good fit) I decided to have the paint refreshed as well as have the recently purchased hardtop painted as well. The hard top is going blue with the aluminium stripe and the front bar is going aluminium.

The plan is to do the rear bumper and 1/3 of the way up the sides in the aluminium colour as well.

Progress so far:

Excellent build up...keep it going. You've given me plenty of ideas for my NB.

Well the hardtop has been finished as has the crease pulled from near the antenna. All that is needed is the GV lipto arrive and the nose can be finished (aluminium colour).

Nose cone painted Lip fitted (but not painted yet) and that is my Fiat X1/9 in the background (getting rust cut out).

Monday is the day for fitting the nose back on, just in time for my return home on Thursday :)

Well the car is now home (and I like it), I just need to swap the number plate back to the other side.. It is nice to see how it compares to my sons Red NA as well. As well as adding another car to garage at home I also added another dog as well (the 2 tone one on the right).

Well a few more updates, not much really.

Catch can installed (many thanks to the bracket fabricated by MX5 Plus).

Nopro washer bottle:

Autovation MX5 pedal set :

Short shifter (Miata Roadster) and 240mm Gear Knob from mrpham. I have to admit that I very much like this combination as the gear knob is now very close to the steering wheel without any extra effort or throw. I will try and get some measurements on the throw for a real comparison and not a 'feeling':

GV Front lip and new stripe:

LED Stop light (it is a bit low but it is angled upwards and very bright, the normal brake lights are on as well). From feedback the LED does its job :)

Finally father and son MX5's (father used 6 more ltrs of fuel than son on the Sunshine Coast club run today left at 0615 home at 1530):

Jobs for July

Brake ducts as well as new rotors and pads

Butterfly Brace

New Thermostat (Maruha 78)

Innovate Fuel/Air Wideband

Also considering having the soft top removed and just having the hardtop as well as finalising the shopping list for the natural aspirated engine build.
