Andrew doesn't need to, he can just drive my car... after signing the 'if the gearbox brakes while your driving it, you replace it" contract

1:04's would be achievable with slicks, suspension upgrade and a wing (as least the CAR would be capable of it, I don't pretend to think I'd be able to do it anytime soon). I'm hoping to go lower than that eventually though.... I've been told to expect a ballpark 180kw atw which is what similar motors have made. I said I wanted reliability above all else and he said the motor will do that easily. Regardless of what power it really makes it's just a number, I'm looking forward to just seeing how different the car behaves and how different it is learning the tracks again. Wakefield right now is pretty simple, if at turn 2,8 or 10 apply brakes, otherwise apply throttle

Bryan I just have the 949 front big brake kit with the 4 pot wilwoods, unlikely to get a huge amount more stopping power but hopefully much better pad life and lower temps. Before the brake ducts I was going through pads very fast and now I get barely any taper.... I've had these brakes ready to go for a while now , had been holding off to stay in class 6.

Class 7 question. Are CAMS decals required for this class?

Hi Chris,
No you won't require a blue triangle for this event.

Have fun, unlikely that I'll make this one

Has anyone received their conformation yet? Or does it get done closer to the date?

Just over a week before the event, you should get track papers from Zan, is my experience. My entry fee has been debited, so it's sweet as. Just check your account?

see you there !

Hi all

This will be my first track day with the green machine.

Will I need more than one tank of petrol for the day? And how strict is the scrutineering, is it ok to put items (phone, wallet) into locked glove box? I am assuming everything else from mats to fluffy dice will need to be removed.

Very much looking forward to getting the car on the track for the first time.

Craig.

Welcome Craig! You're going to have a ball!

Scrutineering is reasonably sensible and much less pedantic than at state supersprint rounds. Stuff kept safely in a locked glove box is fine (even locking it is optional). If you do this, it's probably a good idea to pad the glove box with something soft & bulky (towel, t-shirt, etc), so your wallet/phone/etc don't slide around in there and distract you while on track (just like the fluffy dice!). Everything else loose in the cabin needs to be removed. Check to make sure your battery is solidly clamped down. No problem with using suction cup mounts for cameras, dataloggers, etc.

Craig, just remember, before scruiteneering, everything out of the boot (jack, brace, space saver if you have one....).Petrol -I drive from the mountains and top at Marulan. Then I have more than enough gas to do track day and get home. Other drivers may have different strategies regarding fuel.

Have fun !
