I well remember the days when police would drive up beside you and waggle the finger to suggest that you might slow a little.

Now they hide in the bushes....or worse still just put a camera up to sent you a fine AFTER you've completed your journey at what they consider an unsafe speed.

Police aside.

Weather has cleared up in our favour.

5% chance of rain Saturday, 20% Sunday.

Between 2-10 degrees C :)

I haven't done a winter trackday before and was wondering about getting sufficient heat in my street tyres. Can't quite work out whether I start with lower pressure or higher pressure than usual (34 cold) to generate some heat. Any advice please?

You're still running normal street tyres aren't you Phil? Yep, it'll be damn cold on Sunday so I'd suggest you start with 36psi cold as they will probably take a bit more work to get them warmed up and the pressure to increase. You still should aim for 39-40psi hot.

Thanks Bryan. Yes still on the RE001s. Wasn't sure whether a lower pressure and the resultant increased flex was the best way to generate heat. And the NC looks great, btw.

I'll be crashing in Bowral the night before, so I'll hit the road and try and tag along with anyone coming past there. I expect to be hitting the highway by about 6-6:15 to leave time for fuel in Goulburn.

Andrew,

We're kind of near enough. Happy to convoy. Anyone else from the North West / Northern suburbs going?

I'm in! Where to meet? Quickest for me is M2->M7. Somewhere off M7?

I'm ok anywhere, just give a location and I'll be there. Ideally where coffee is available!

Looks like our side of town would be Tim, Alex, Andrew and myself.

Alan, saw your car at Mania. Not ready yet?
