I managed a 1:11.78 on Kuhmo KU36's with brakes that only lasted 3 laps. I was the Blue one (Car #50), does anyone know what the other one was doing?
I'll be back next time with better pads.

Your NC was brilliant and thats a great time! The other supercharged NC was Tim's red NC which had issues with his ECU and immobiliser.

Daniels NC wasn't blown rather a built 2L. He mentioned the details, but I can't remember them all 100%. ECU was reflashed.

Great time for him in the end, he said his tyres were a problem.

Daniel,s NC is a legal 2F spec engine, Head work, cams, pistons and rods, steel crank, Dynotronics tune and Carbotech Brake Pads. Currently limited to 7800rpm will open up to 9,000rpm now its run in. Car is not light
yet still has all the heaters and road car bits in it. If the planets align might get into the 1.06?s next time.

Thanks for the pics!

Does any one else think that it would be a good idea to run at least a couple of 8 or 10 minute sessions, rather than 6 minute sessions.
my reasoning is
a) across the day less time is spent transfering cars on off track
b) a couple of extra laps gives you some time to get into your groove.

6 minutes is plenty. Running additional laps you find the following problems:
Lack of concentration causing more 'offs',
Tyres and brakes overheating,
Faster cars having to work their way though the slower traffic.

We originally ran just a warm up lap and four flying laps. Now if you’re quick enough you get five - six laps.

For a club day no, as per what Charlier Brown just said.

If you want to learn the track better with longer sessions, I sugest you attend a Speed off the Streets day on a weekday.
On a weekday few people show up as long as a big group hasn't organised something.
You will get a 20 minute session pretty much every hour.
I found it vaulable to do one of these since you have no pressure of trying to achieve times, so you can try things you would never do on a club trackday.

If you post something in this forum, you may even get some people interested in wanting to go down as well.

I hope I didn't sound to critical, I really enjoyed the day and think it is run well. Nothing wrong with some new opinons.

Personally I believe that one or two more laps wouldn't have a dramatic effect on concenration or overheating.
I don't want and am not asking for 20 minute sessions (for the above reasons).

I would also like to suggest that the timing could be moved to the start of the back strait. My reasoning here is that if you stuffed the fish hook it wouldn't wreck two laps.
