I'm glad you enjoyed the pics. I'll pass on the compliments to the photographer! This event was a huge step into bringing him to the joys of the mx5 ownership. We may be getting another mx5 on the track sooner than later, unfortunately at the cost of some good photographing skills. :lol:

This was my first track day in the car (literally picked it up 2 weeks prior) so much appreciated

Nice to know other mx5 owners in the Northern Beaches area. At the track on Sunday I also met Mitchell, who lives in Newport and owns a gold NB8A.

Thanks for the offer, but i'm only posting the pics, the actual photographer was a mate of mine who was there only spectating the event and trying out his photographic equipment.

You deserve a medal for being out in the wind on a cold day, operating a camera.
Fortunately those image-stabilised lenses take car of the shivering induced shake! :-)

Does anyone know when the results get posted on the club site?

I know how I went (pbox) but interested to see how others fared (and yeah, Daniel Decker's time, wow).

This is abolutely NOT intended as a hurry-up, the organisers / officials did a fantastic job and the logistics must be huge given the numbers.

Zan posts the results on the club website within a week of each trackday, usually on Wednesday or Thursday. Just keep an eye on the motorsport webpage and refresh it.

Paul did a low 1.11 which was a pb in the new GTR, I guess he is still getting used to the vehicle!

Results are up.
As a first timer, and with no benchmark, I'd set myself an arbitrary goal of cracking 1:20. Fastest for the day was 1:20.04. Missed it by that much! :lol:

Very happy with that though. I think I had 2 laps that were faster than that but I either caught another car or made a silly error, so I'm looking forward to having another go at it!

Daniel Deckers 1:07.05 :shock:

Same here - first timer - having had the car for 2 weeks - my goal was 1.25 (Supersprints qualifying), I hit 1.22.1 a couple of times so stoked!
