Yah would be good to see what your car does down the strip, e85 is the super juice atm. I'm lucky there's an e85 station 10mins from my place. Ive just received id1000's looking forward to the switch. Just gotta finish fabbing up new exhaust.

Trust me when you start putting down some serious power on e85 you will give some big power cars a surprise. Our cars are just hard to get off the line but once your in motion its all power-weight

Update:
So i have some splitter brackets in transit atm. Hoping they get here by friday So in anticipation i made a template of the size im having. Ill be going down to the hardware store tomorrow to pick up a big bit of ply to use.

Ive figured out how im going to support the front and sides.. just need to make it up haha Anyways heres a pic.



Hopefully i get it friday and can finish the install on the weekend in preparation for the trackday on monday

What type of splitter brackets did you buy? and where from if you dint mind me asking. Only ask as im In the process doing mine.

Also, are you planning on using ply as the finished material or will you use fiber glass/carbon?

Update:

So the track day has gone by to quick unfortunately. I never got a chance to install the splitter though which was sad ..

Track day went down like this:
- woke up in the morning to blue skies
- by the time it was ready to go out of track dark clouds had come over us.
- Managed to get 1.5 sessions on the Clubman Track before it starting pissing it down for a good 40mins.
- Went back out in the rain with no wipers (because i took them out lol) and saw how it drove in the wet.
- These Rs3's paired with my wing makes a surprisingly amount of grip in the wet.

- Changed over to the Sprint Track late afternoon
- Still very wet in the last few corners which made it hard to get front and rear grip exiting the last corner onto the straight.
- Next session the line started drying up good from the sessions before hand
- Went out and as i went to rev past 5000rpm the car just stopped at that point. (See video below)
- After two laps it started to clear up a bit and i managed to get 2 decent laps in.
- With the car still not revving properly i managed a pb of 58.7 on the sprint track
- Not braking into turn one at the top of 5th is fun

Packed up all my stuff and decided to go home one session early due to the car acting up. I think we might have an answer to why it was doing it. Im gonna start by changing over the crank and cam position sensor for new oem parts and hopefully that is that. I think once the car gets a lot of heat into it they start to break down and inturn the Haltech gets a dud reading.

So the next day my splitter brackets rocked up. I unpacked them and went to test fit straight away

Still working on spacing the bottom section of the splitter up to meet the brackets. And i bought the wrong stuff for the front Oh well it will be done sooner or later

I really enjoyed 'following' you down the straight, i was going to watch where you braked and try your line into turn 1
but.... you didnt brake!

Had some spare time today so i pushed on with the splitter. Subframe mounts done, Front mounts done. Still have to do the side mounts but because of my cooler piping i need to weld something up Gonna take it off and paint it tomorrow but pretty stoked so far.. Holds my weight just fine (75kg) Big thanks to Henry for sending me out these and making them in the first place. Cant wait to test this out Pics...

Update.

So i changed around the front supports a little. Just widened them. Seems better now. I also added supports to the side.. Exact same way as my front supports just with wire and eyelets. Splitter is really stiff now. Interested to see how the car reacts at speed and whether the 9mm ply will be thick enough to not flex a lot at 200kph. Might but another piece of 12mm ply and lay the top with fibre glass just to be sure its gonna hold good. Anyways atleast i now have a template.

My eyes, or is it not centred?

needs to move to the passenger side by about 20mm

and the driver's side bottom buckle needs to move to the passenger side by about 30-50mm
