Guys - you seriously don't get how awesome this car is until you sit behind for about 60km and see it boost away on the gas :mrgreen:

it is a lot better when it's at the track

So all the aero is back off. Picking up some fiberglass and resin from work and I plan to put some plastic angle just in front of where the lip sits on the splitter to act as a diverter and make sure that air doesn't go between it. Then I'm gonna glass it all to stiffen it up and make it waterproof

Update:

So the other day when i was removing the aero again i noticed the lip wasnt sealed air tight against the splitter. Last thing i want is it going through the gay. So i picked up some aluminum angle, fibreglass and some resin and set to work.

I traced where the edge of the lip sits on the splitter and cut and bent the angle around it. Once glued down i started to lay the fibreglass. The topside is now done but needs cleaning up. Ill probably just resin the underside i think. Plan is for the air to hit the angle and dispurse up over the lip and bumper.. Sorta like a mini airdam.

Update:

Yet again we have more problems.. So i replaced the crank and cam angle sensors trying to fix a problem ive been having after i thrash the car a bit. Swapped them over with brand new oem replacements and drove off only to have it 100x worse then before.. Fiddled around with it to get it to work proper and nothing.

Went to drive home and troubleshoot some more only to break down 2mins from my house

Car just felt like it lost all power and i had no throttle at all. Pulled over and checked everything but the car wouldnt run. So i went and go the old sensors and put them back on hoping it would go back to normal. it did not. So towed it back to the workshop to see what the hell went wrong.. Sigh.

In other news splitter is complete. Will be putting it on as soon as i figure out what my pos car is doing.

Fuel pump?

Have you got a fuel pressure gauge to check fuel pressure? My brother's car was good for about 20mins of driving then it would gradually break down and get worse until car wouldn't move...

Update:
Funny story .. So went to check to see what the fuel pump was like and looked in the tank to see it bone dry lol... UGHH feelin pretty stupid right night. Wish i bothered setting up the low fuel light lol So problem has gone away for now

So the splitter is done now. Happy with the finish and strength. Few things ill do next time when this one breaks

Your not the first or the last. At least it was a simple fix.
I chased a fault in my rx7, it kept on cutting power. To it was noted, that it was speed limited to 180km. :oops:

Got to love jap imports. :mrgreen:

Splitter looks good man.

i was speaking to a guy with a radical at qr one day and he said it had been plagued with fuel issues - he finally decide to check the fuel tank and it was empty. Turns out the tube going to the tank is only like 1/2" ID or something, so if you try and fill it up at a servo, the it'll just keep clicking off as it's "full" haha.

You're not the first and probably won't be the last. I remember going to the other side of Brisbane once with a mate to help out someone who thought all sorts of bad things were happening to his MX-5 - he was out of fuel...

Update..

So the last couple of weeks ive been thinking about cutting my bonnet up a bit. I marked it all out last week then pussed out

. Determined to get it done i marked it back out, bonnet off and made the first cut. No turning back now :O :O.

Finished cutting it all out, touched up some of the paint and put it back on the car. Im wrapped with how it came out. Really happy with it

Might not be to everyones liking but meh. Its my car haha
