AWESOME!!

Would you be able to point us all in the right direction for current Regs etc?
The Motor Racing Australia website seems to be all 2011.

Or has nothing changed since then??

Looking forward to running a few rounds next year if and when i ever get the damn car back from the smash repairs!!

Regs and such, its similar to CAMS regs for 2F and 2B prod sports cars for our 5's

There is a facebook group too which has some info (dont have a link at work!)

off top of my head...
Pretty much need a CAMS approved roll bar at a minimum
tow hooks
battery cut off switch
stickers for battery, cut off, race numbers
seat + harness all in compliance
minimum 2 layer race suit, gloves, boots
AASA national licence or CAMS PC licence (medical to be done to get and show sufficient/recent history of on track)
Car needs to be AASA log booked

I think?

Wow! Plenty of opportunities for fun there!

I am in - providing I get my ducks in a row with respect to the licence, only have a few club days and - as of this Sunday - 2 Supersprints.

What is the deal with the Wakefield 300? Only a couple of MX5s in there. That would be so much fun - but much harder on the car than an 8 or 10 lap sprint / tussle.

If you're after just a general idea of what the event is like you can watch the highlights show from SBS's Speedweek show on their website. 2010 is worth checking out for the wet weather mayhem and 1-2 finish for MX5 Mania's entries, but they (and other MX5s) have generally placed well.

$230 for a minimum of 5 sessions, about on par for a club day.

.....plus any panel beating if required.

My 5 won't see the track for the rest of the year so I'll 'hopefully' have time to get my car ready.
Just done my tax so that should help haha

Time to get her ready for first round!!

To save disappointment make sure your roll bar is actually CAMS approved and complies with the current regulations.
