Just thought I would put down a couple of my thoughts from the day.

What a great day!
The Tack:
I am sure all sydneysiders will appreciate another venue close to home. I was impressed with the facilities, especially considering the main SMP complex is so close. The track it's self is fantastic for lower hp, light weight cars. It is very technical with no relaxation time, and the elevation changes & cambers hugely add to the experience.

Organisation:
Thanks very much to all the people who contributed their energy! As always I thought it was a really well run event. My car flew though scrutineering, and there was no issues with roll bar to helmet clearences, which was a relief. Personally I do think a couple of longer sessions (8 minutes)

My Car/Experience:
This is the second time I have had my car on the track (and have not really dríven the car since the last meet in July, as I had a sticky rear caliper which I only fixed last week). I have been busy buying parts though :) and have added a Mx5 Roll Bar, a Sparco Sprint V, 15x8 tires with Handcook RS-3's (225/45/15), Stainless Steel brake lines and Carbotec front brake pads. I also got Phil B to roll the gard lips. Having not dríven with these tires, I was initially disappointed with the grip levels, but dropped the tire pressures over the day and they really improved in grip levels
First session I did a high 1:09 and managed to drop the times through the day finishing with a 1:06.84, which I was satisfied with. Next time I will be aiming for a low 1:05!

 Would love to see some my #68 ... preferably on two wheels!

Somehow you managed to attract Hochman's (the photographer) camera every time you drove past...

Unfortunately your two wheels action was not captured, but we've caught you on three wheels...

Thanks for all the photos! Great stuff. :D

As a starting point set at around 30-32psi cold and aim for around 35-36psi hot. Fine tune and adjust from there to suit your suspension set up and driving style.

Actually I think it had shared drivers, couple of guys, and they were having a crack! Doesn't matter what you are driving, as long as it puts a smile on your face :D

That's the car, although not on track:

There's onboard footage a couple of pages back in this thread.

Looks like you and Spence continued the arm-wrestle Peter, would have been fun. Pretty close.

^ That last session got me across the line, dropped about a second off my previous PB from session 1 on the last lap of the last session of the day!

Nicely done Spence.

Check this out - two weeks beforehand, on the Sth Circuit when the big storm came through. I was doing 1.22's / 1.23s ! It was SO slippery!
