Re: Yellow Speed Racing coilovers
Finally got my YSP dynamic pro's in for about 2-3 weeks now.
Pretty happy with the build quality.
However found that they do not go low enough on the rear for my application.
(yet to see how they look like by loosening the captivity of the springs.
I'm contemplating letting the springs loose and going lower.
Has anyone done the above ^ and what are their experiences?

Re: Yellow Speed Racing coilovers
I have and for me it's not a problem. I did buy some helper springs to keep the springs captive when going low but haven't needed to use them. Eventually I'll probably chuck them in now that I've bought them. If you're worried just be careful when jacking the car up and bringing it back down to make sure it sits in its spot properly. Better still, buy yourself some helper springs.

UNDERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the front of the car. OVERSTEER is when you hit the wall with the rear of the car.

Re: Yellow Speed Racing coilovers
there is no need for helper springs. you do not adjust height at the spring perch, so the should be captive all the time.

Re: Yellow Speed Racing coilovers
Has anyone bothered to modify the bumpstops in these coilovers or inspect what type of bumpstops are used.
Contemplating getting FCM bumpstops for these coils.

Re: Yellow Speed Racing coilovers
Bit of a thread bump, but instead of starting another...
How are the yellow speed coilovers holding up?
I am trying to decide if i want BC or Yellow speed coilovers, as I think my current shocks are flogged out.
Interest little comparison between the two seen on this thread;
viewtopic.php?f=30&t=60495&hilit=Yellow+Speed
Makes it sound like the BC are a better fitment.
Any other opinion's?

Re: Yellow Speed Racing coilovers
I think I'm missing where it says BC are better fitment.
Search JDMST on BC vs Yellowspeed. You'll find a comparison from Wholesale Suspension who sell both and favour Yellowspeed. Use "JDMST yellowspeed vs BC" and you'll see the thread from 2012.
You can of course get Yellowspeeds from Mania who use them on their race cars.

Re: Yellow Speed Racing coilovers
Where's the best place to buy them? Anybody got them in stock?
Just to confirm. The rear shocks are now height adjustable le without altering spring preload?
Thanks for clearing that up project r.
So they fit no issues? Accessories where ok?

Re: Yellow Speed Racing coilovers
Is there anything else you need when installing coil overs? Or is everything included in the kit?
Anything worth changing while I am in there?
