Sunday Feb 3 - Bris. - run cancelled due to road closure

Hi all,

Are there any forum members interested in tagging along for a day cruise on Sunday the 3rd of February? It will be dríven at a leisurely pace within the speed limit and complying with all road rules. The run will start from the observatory in Mt Cootha and finishing at Roadvale Pub for lunch.

The drive from the observatory to Fernvale will take approximately 1.5hrs and the drive from Fernvale to Roadvale, another 2 hours. Total driving time 3.5hrs and total distance approximately 200km. There will be a brief stop in Fernvale for toilet breaks for those starting from the observatory.

Those living in the southern or western side of Brisbane not wishing to meet at Mt Cootha can do so at Fernvale.

Please note, this is a forum tag along run not an organised club event. Also if it rains on the day, you're welcome to make last minute cancellation but I'm still going ahead with the drive.

Meeting Place 1 : Mt Cootha planetarium at 8.00am for 8.30am departure

Planning to arrive in Fernvale at 10.00am to meet up with the rest of the group there. Also for rest stop for the Brisbane group.

Meeting Place 2: Simpson Street in Fernvale (near the bakery) at 10.00am for 10.30am departure.

I'll need confirmations by Wednesday 30/01/12, for those planning on joining me for lunch at Roadvale Pub after the drive.

If interested, can you reply to this thread (PM real name and contact number) and to add your name to the attendee list.

Car goes in next week for a service,excedy sports tuff and a lightened flywheel...Hopefully enough to keep Snow White in check for the moment... :lol:

Should be a couple of gopro's and cameras there if Darbs and I can get our stuff together.. :oops:

Excellent, I've been toying with the idea of getting two gopros (1 front and 1 rear) for club runs. However after learning how tedious the editing process is, I'm having second thoughts.

Kev05 I'll bring along my VBox Lite setup for you to have a look at. It uses 2 cameras but does the picture in picture as it records so no post processing (it also puts a host of other elements like speed, rpm, position etc). It also has a plug in monitor so you can check the setup of the cameras and overlay file selected. I have not had much time to 'play' with it yet but it makes the post processing a thing of the past. The Vbox lite also means that I maybe getting rid (selling) a few bits that I don't need anymore (Contour + camera and LQ-Q6000 lap timer).
