Gained at least 1 inch head room. Shaved the foam from the bottom to keep the leather happy. The leather covers/foam are different to the OZ spec cars I'm sure. US cars look to have more padding in them. I'll be doing the back when I rip the drivers seat apart again to replace the foam inserts with new stuff. 44K Miles have taken there toll on the foam.
License plate lamps - now working!
After receiving a warning from the plod last week for having no front plate, it occurred to me that I hadn't actually checked to see if all the other lights/blinkers etc. were working. Good thing I checked, license plates lights out, both of 'em. The 'tard that did the respray didn't plug them back in but managed to get overspray on the lenses like they were never touched??
Front Plate Bracket - DIY, all day effort, work of art in alloy L shapes and flat. Total cost - $10.95 including tax

Tried to fit some leftover bits from TheMissus parts bin. The chrome latches for the soft top are different from NA to NB? Well, at least the ones I have don't fit, they're about 2 to 4mm longer at the back where the little pushy button thing is to release the soft top. There's an hour of my life I won't get back.
So, onto today's adventure. Since I collected the car I haven't actually vaccumed the interior or cleaned it at all. I figured I'd leave it until I had a good bit of time to get into it. I love Thanksgiving

The poor car in the last owners hands was primarily a track car and the track rims were transported 3 abreast in the boot and 1 in the passenger seat. This certainly took it's toll in the way of small scratches/gouges and general grubbiness of the interior. This topped with the fact that I don't think anyone cleaned her inside since the previous owner collected it from the dealer. The dash was looking more grey than black and so were the seats, the inside of the soft top etc. The pics below do do any justice to the dullness/dust/dirt/grime stains/collections before the clean or the stoopid shineyness/difference post clean. When I shampooed the soft top, the water dripping down was black

I've cleared the garage to make space for our winter project....the rebuild of the original engine. The plan is to build for 8000rpm redline, GT2860RS turbo and 16lbs + boost. I'll get BEGI to flash the standard ECU to deal with emissions testing and then the Hydra gets plugged back in once I have my sticker saying I'm green

Here's today's cleaning effort;
