My younger brother had a brain tumor discovered after severe headaches and was lucky to beat it.

May UA rest in peace.

Mikey was the first to introduce himself when I joined the Qld mx5 club years ago and had the ability to any new comer feel very welcome. And as a result i quickly became good mates with him and Ryan(lowmiata). Someone else mentioned recently that Mikey's level of enthusiasm was very rare, this is just so true.
We had some cracking times in those Mx5s. The photo above is one of those times that I'll always remember.
Or thoughts are with Jen and Mikey's family and friends.
Rest in peace mate.
YEAH BABY!

Mikey befriended Litsa and I well before we moved to QLD. When, through the forums we mentioned we were moving, he was one of the first people to greet us in our new house. He was at our very first BBQ in QLD, and was an instigator of the "welcome JULES to QLD run" that we have ending at my house at Paradise Point.

He was a cheeky bastard, and every single dodgy day, he did something awful too me, like leave me on Clives roof without a ladder, strip all the wheels off my car amongst a few. Every single one ..... Bloody hilarious though.
The dodgy days under his house at Fairfield are now legendary... cracking the keg of Heinekin and cooking all those sausages, and then the massive WINGZZZ DAYS that followed on, were all because of his initiative. sh*t..my mouth is on fire already thinking about tasting those goddam awfully hot wings at Clives detailing day.

A couple of years ago, we had a really minor falling out, something so stupidly petty, in hindsight just ridiculous............and we lost touch.

The news this week had made me sadder than I can ever imagine. I am a face full of tears even writing this. How anyone so full of life laughs and LOVE could be taken so young - I cannot fathom it.

I know for sure that whatever he is driving up there.... its got forced induction and its as dodgy as hell.

Fut on the throttle and may your blow off valve be stupidly loud.

Rest in peace UA. So sad. He'll always be remembered on this forum as one of the funniest and most honest, forthright and genuine people here.

Despite living in Brisbane, I never met UA either and also enjoyed his forum contributions.

My condolences to his family and friends, this was very sudden and I hope that he didn't suffer much (as a long-term smoker, my grandpa died a slow, painful death from lung cancer; that was extremely hard on him and my family watching it happen).
Don't worry about dying, worry about not living!

Very sad news to hear, Mike was a really great guy who, it is very obvious, touched a lot of lives for the better. I am genuinely saddened by this news. I was fortunate enough to be at Mikes wedding, and remember like it was yesterday and how happy a person he was. He did a lot for our community, a lot of us owe him a great deal, he taught me a lot. He was always happy to help.

Very sad news, RIP Uncle Arthur.
