How do you register please?
I think I might have a go. Not every round but those I can attend.

Chris if you have done the club days it is the same format, mixed cars obviously but everybody's equally friendly. Lot of fun!

Re: 2013 NSW Supersprint Championship
Entry is now open for Round 1 at Wakefield Park on 24th March. The forms have been emailed to Championship Entrants, and will be eventually posted on the Supersprints website. In the meantime, you can grab them from the Mini Car Club website who are hosting this round.
Entry Form | Supp Regs
Anyone can enter this event provided you're a member of a CAMS affiliated club and have a CAMS L2S licence. Priority is given to championship entrants until the general opening date of 25th February. Cost is $180 per driver, plus $15 for Dorian hire if required. Maximum number of driver entries is 90 although it's unlikely to reach that based on recent history.

Cheaper this year Bryan, good news. Does the Mini club run a good event?

Re: 2013 NSW Supersprint Championship
Same price as 2012 actually.
Mini does a good supersprint. More relaxed than ARDC but smoothly organized and quite efficient. Not quite up to the standard of MX-5 Club, but that's a very high bar to beat.
Joan is a lovely person to deal with too - very old school.

Re: 2013 NSW Supersprint Championship
Wakefield is cheaper than SMSP is it? SMSP was only $180 for ARDC members, $210 otherwise. That's a 6 coffee saving!

Re: 2013 NSW Supersprint Championship
Yes that's right Craig. Wakefield Park are the cheapest rounds to enter - but furthest from Sydney. Last year, Mini charged $170 and MX-5 Club was $160 at Wakefield Park, NSWRRC charged $180 at SMP-South and $245 for SMP-North (gouge!), and ARDC charged $210 for SMP-North and $230 for SMP-GP & Extended. Only ARDC and NSWRRC offer discounts to their members. Unfairly IMHO, because this is a state championship and it ought to be a level playing field for all competitors.

Re: 2013 NSW Supersprint Championship
Right. Well, I will take the savings where I can find them
Not sure I will make the first round as I am committed to the FOSC at Wakefield the weekend after over Easter, 2 1/2 days......I know, I was amazed when my leave pass was signed off for that too

Re: 2013 NSW Supersprint Championship
Finally registered for the championship, got my old number again 113. Wanted 13, but last year guy still has it.
Now just have to register for round 1.
And I agree with the comments about members of ARDC and NSWRRC getting discounts at their rounds. To me this creates an unfair advantage.
Maybe MX5NSW should do it at our round then???
Better yet it might be worth bringing up with the Super Sprint panel.

That sends the wrong message - it just supports what ARDC and NSWRRC are doing. A better approach is simply to boycott the worst offenders. NSWRRC charging us $245 for SMP North last year was an appalling gouge, even for their own members who received a $20 discount. Only two weeks later, I paid $185 for the CSCA Supersprint on SMP North - but also including free garage usage, and it was a more efficiently run event.
Better yet it might be worth bringing up with the Super Sprint panel.
It has been raised. We'll see what the entry fees are like this year, and then raise it again if necessary.

Re: 2013 NSW Supersprint Championship
I am a member of mx5 club & ardc - of course any points go towards the mexers
Ardc gives you discounted practice days, a free practice day, potential for a free drivers day and discounts at most public events at SMSP. If you live in Sydney it is easy to get well more than your money back.

Re: 2013 NSW Supersprint Championship
Yes that's true Craig, although in my case I would not get the benefits from the $120 membership fee. It's still no excuse for penalising non-members who are competing in a state championship.

Re: 2013 NSW Supersprint Championship
Agreed. Would I be right in assuming these days are good revenue raisers for the clubs? Certainly good numbers attending.
