Haha, I think it might be :D
I really want itbs on it, all in good time. At the moment, cams and ecu and 6 speed will make it a weapon!
Just need to work out which order. As it is on semis in an endurance it be a good chance at a class win!!

See how we go!

The itbs only make a real difference if you have a lot of work done to the rest of the engine, better to spend the money on the engine.
NC Roadie, NC Racey, ND Racey….and a 30AE

Plus several others in the bone yard...

At this point I have done nothing to the engine. But the plan is next: intake, exhaust, ecu. Then bigger cams. Should I be doing ITBs then and if so how much bang for my buck do I get?

Mmmm yes and no. Being individual stacks to each cylinder will give the engine an increase in mid range torque. I have a fully worked head here already to go on, once i have cams. I only need 10kwatw extra. But i wana put a 6 speed and 4.3 or 4.44 rear diff with itb's will have a really good mid range, On the weekend i didnt have the torque out of corners which is where i lost most ground to others. As for building the motor, ill be using mahle pistons slightly oversize and corrilo rods. So should work better. Also got a high performance oil pump on the way. :)

And the sound from the induction cant be beat from itbs. My mate has them on his miata and stock motor they gave it 3ohp atw with a tune.

Motor is out today, getting ready.

He was trying to be a smart ass, and he was getting frustrated, rubbings racing this is just something that happens.

I moved my post to the other thread but that was a terrible attempt at a pass. There was no room at all for that to work. Rubbing is racing but that had no chance of being anything other than contact that would force the other competitor off the track.

I think with that 1 there was possibly a blue flag waved because they were lapped cars, the trouble is a lot of guys are under the impression that a blue flag means that the lapped cars should pull off the racing line and drive around in 2nd waiting to get passed.... but really you should just keep doing your thing with the knowledge that a quicker car is coming and just be aware... so he has just dived in there and the other poor bloke was already in the middle of the corner when he got there, but anyway HOW GOOD DOES OUR NC SOUND!?!?

Saw/heard it at the club track day last July. Sounds excellent. Nice lumpy cams.

I didn't get out of pit lane for qualifying, I had a TPS issue which I managed to fix, but then had some issues in the Pulsar race and decided to pack up and drive back to VIC. I was looking forward to the MX5 races. Next is the Wakefield 300, then I will be running one of my MX5's the following weekend at Winton in the first MX5 Challenge race in victoria for 2013
