Mexican invasion, Monday 15th April, 7pm

Postby Steampunk » Thu Apr 11, 2013 7:52 pm

WARNING: I have inside knowledge there is an attempt by a southerner to cross the border into QLD for the purpose of absconding a rather nice bit of automobile, because we all know all the best cars are in Queensland, and drive it back south o' the border.

My plan is to lure this man, if that is his true gender, to coffees'n'lies at our usual haunt at Milton to ogle aforementioned automobile before it disappears into the sunset destined for a nefarious end.

Perhaps there is a chance we can show him our illustrious Mt Nebo and how real drivers are supposed to drive cars.

Pencil in 1900hrs at La Dolce Vita, this coming Monday.

See you guys then.

PS: I heard this guy is rather.... special... so in order to not offend him, don't use big words and talk nice and slow

Since we test drove 'said' vehicle - i guess we I should turn up to see if he is happy with it.
Might even let him have a go at MINX to see what 'said' vehicle could be like.

Yeah, that turned out to be a really good opportunity to undo and take some choice lower-control arm, strut-tower, intake and turbo manifold nuts & bolts off for spares for MINX hey Stu? Worth the trip up for you. I don't think he'll miss those hoses either, not for a while anyway...

Such great Queensland hospitality, i'm sure the mexican appreciates your help and warm welcome. Looking forward to his updates.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Bloody spewin we missed your drive-by. I hardly check the General Section because of too many face-palm posts and when I did, we missed you by a day. Doh, doh, doh.

It's ok. I've briefed him about QLD. I told him they're a bloody weird lot and the heat affects their brains, so not to make any sudden movements as it can cause motion sickness and irate confusion for QLDers.

I've also warned him that because of the warmer weather, hoop snakes are more abundant and that they're feeding right now before they hibernate for the Winter. ALWAYS LOOK BEHIND YOU TO STAY SAFE. Hoop snakes know how to STOP, DROP and ROLL.

Actually, now that you mentioned it, are the rumours true that I shouldn't turn my back on this certain individual...
