Clutch and flywheel ordered today. Just need to order a rear main seal and I'll be set to go!

Bringing my own tools, jack, stands and possibly ramps. Will we need a second bbq? If so I can haul one along. Will also bring cupcakes.

Hands up who wants to help with my clutch/flywheel?

Trust me there is enough BBQ space. I have a nice charcoal pizza oven that can be used as well.

If there is no electrical wiring involved I will help you CaptainNate. If you are doing this amount of work I will set aside a prime spot for you that is flat, under cover and close to air and power.

I have a set of normal car ramps, 4 large stands, 2 small stands, 1.2 ton and 3ton trolley jacks available to whoever needs them. Also an air compressor and a genie as well, just remember my place runs on tank water so a genie is the preferred way to wash. I normally wet the car down, use a snow lance to put the foam on then genie off.

I'm happy to duck down to Coolongatta to pick you up, I would just have to be back home before everybody arrives. I say there are a few coming from near Brisbane airport who could pick you up, if not I'm happy to drive up there but again need to be home before everybody arrives or else my other half mood may not improve :)

If you go to Brisbane and catch the Air-Train to Central station I can pick you up as there's a fair chance I'll be in the city in the morning.

All going well I'll have my headers on already so I can give Nate a hand as well or anyone else.

Ok guys, I need some opinions please regarding my headers. I can't get the nuts on the cat undone. I haven't tried any of the others yet. 23 years of heat & weather has locked them on tight. I have tried "Loctite Freeze & Release", with no luck. I don't have access to heat. The nut won't budge, and now the nut is rounded a bit.

My question is, do I just go to a muffler shop & get them to fit them? Or do I wait until the dodgy day?

What's your thoughts?

Cheers
Andrew

Do you have access to a nut splitter like this:

Sometimes a rattle gun/impact gun is a better option to use in the first instance if the nut won't budge.

Unless somebody can bring a suitable heat source to dodgy day it may be worth going to the exhaust shop and getting then to at least take the nuts off and replace then you can do the header at the dodgy day. I think I have a nut splitter at home but I will need to conduct a search and rescue to find it.

What size is the nut?
I have a set of these Irwin Bolt Grip but it only goes up to 16mm.
