I tested the battery on the SLR before leaving home and found it was dead. Changed battery and still no luck, so no photos and apparently no more SLR.

Apologies for the lousy image quality but it was the best I could manage with my son's little camera (mine is "on holidays" at the moment).

Ditto for sure.

First MX5 Club track day I have been to, and the best organised track day I think I have ever been to. Congratulations to everyone involved - so well run, and so much fun :D

Here is a video of my best run for the day which was traffic free.

My best time of the day was recorded as 1.08.90 by my timer which was recorded as 1.08.86 officially, which put me second in class 5.

The result was all I could hope for (as you can tell from my reaction in the video) considering my only modifications are coilovers and an exhaust/intake upgrade and I was running on Michellin Pilot Sport 2 S-Spec tyres when the class allows for R-Spec tyres.

Hopefully Im not busy for the next track day at Wakefield as I cant wait to go back there and see how I go!

Great day, outstanding organisation and lots of runs for everyone. Presentation also very well organised - I liked the venue and the catering was a treat. Car running well, driver so-so. Set a PB but hoping for more improvement given it was my second time on that track. Friend came along and took some photos in the afternoon, hoping to have up soon - stay tuned. That Polo was a hoot.

Footage is watchable ... just barely gives an idea of corner speeds at least.

Another few seconds in the car look forward to the next chance to run the South Circuit.

I think I won the Non MX-5 Club Class in an MX-5 which is fun.

PS could a Mod move Daniel's video into his own post the one above my last one
and then my prior post can go.

that NC handles unbelievably well

my first time at the south circuit and it was a lot of fun, tricky little track that will take some learning

first day out for my car since changing a lot of things and more than 18 months, other than blowing an intercooler pipe off a few times it all held together pretty well

Daniel, Is that a 2.5l?
I didn't think they revved that hard?

Great Drive Daniel,
I know how hard you tried to break the 1 Minute Lap, but to miss out by 1/10 of a second sucks. Anyway I think you currently hold the track record for a MX5 at the moment.
