Three new records are up from yesterday's Supersprint event on the Brabham Circuit.

Glenn Thomas smashed the last record for stock NB8B's with a time of 2:26.481 before he did likewise to his car on Turn 1. Luckily Glenn is OK but the car, well......

Luke Kovacia took 1.5 seconds off his own SE record with a 2:21.108 and Ralph Thompson beat my NC record by 0.1 seconds to record a time of 2:17.426.

New records for the Amaroo (South Circuit) are now listed.

Luke Kovacic smashed his old stock NC record with a new set of tyres.
John Metham in his NA, Craig Gartlacher turbo NA and Cameron MacArther SE also set records.

Daniel Deckers - 2.5 litre NC, is now the quickest MX-5 around this circuit, with a time of 1:00.11. Daniel tried very hard to go under the 1:00 mark all day but just fail to do it. :beer:

If anyone has a MX5 in the fields that don't have a time and raced on Saturday, please let me know.

Two new lap records were recorded at yesterday's Supersprint round on the South Circuit and now appear in the records list on page 1.

Bryan (stock NA6A with R- specs) with a time of 1:08.356 and Ralph (modded NC) with a time of 1:03.380.

Thanks Phil. You'll be interested to hear that the Silent Assassin finished his day prematurely with a box full of neutrals. Didn't you have a similar problem a while back? Due to selector fork issue?

Hi Phil. I believe I can claim the fastest time for modified NB8B (type 2) on R-specs: 1:08.45s :wink:

I heard that Bryan. Its a real bummer. Mine had a broken nylon selector bush, see my Garage section. The bent fork issue is a different one for early NC's.

Gus, sorry I miss that one. I'll fix it tomorrow. Anyone else?

And a fine effort that was considering you had a busted front-right shocker! It was a real handful from what I could see. :shock:

Not to mention the 8 year old tyres. :lol:

I knew they were old stock when I bought them, but I had no idea they were manufactured by dinosaurs. On the positive side, it is good to know I have heaps of room for improvement.

There are a few new records following the Supersprint round at the North or Druitt circuit yesterday.

Class 1a: Bryan in the stock NA 1:20.3977, Stewart in the NB8A with 1:19.5145

Class 2b: Ralph in the NC with 1:14.7753

Class 2c: Luke in his SE with 1:15.6789

Class 3b: Ed in his NB8A/C with 1:15.2870

Let me know if I’ve missed anyone.

New class records from yesterday’s last round of the State Supersprint at the South Circuit are now included in the table on page 1.

Some existing record holders managed to shave a few hundredth’s of a second off their previous PB’s. Ralph, Mike, Glenn, Stewart and possibly Bryan, but I thought he said he’s been faster before.

We do however, have a new record holder in John Metham in his class 2B Clubman taking the record away from Stuart. :beer:

Phil, I believe Glenn's time should now go in the 2B section instead of the 1B, as his new NB8B has two mods as per the MX5 Club's Clubman class. If not Glenn's, then my time should knock off Alex Chen's.

It was not until the last run that Glenn managed to beat my best lap of the day by just 0.008s! That's how close the competition in the Clubman class is at the moment!

That's correct. My current PB on Amaroo Circuit is 1:08.3557 on 28 July 2013. I just missed it this time with 1:08.3682 ... a mere 0.0125s!

Correct Guss, I knew that but dropped his time into the wrong section. Now corrected.

This is one record that's begging to be smashed. Currently the Club has very few highly modified road registered NB8B's running.
Not detracting from Glenn's time but my guess is that if Mark's car wasn't turboed the time to beat would be in the 1:03's. Who wants to have a go?

What is the class 6 record for south circuit? Its was my first time at south circuit and my 2nd track day. I managed a 1.06.23 on sunday..
My car is a nb8b with supension upgraded, cat back and pod filter on r specs.
