Well ... it's what the NSW Club calls an NA8A. It's a 96 NA8.

No Phil, just wayward fingers on the iPad plus I missed reading your original call that it was a NA8

The trouble I have with the Club's result sheet is that there is no model designation against the entry, so unless I know the car it gets hard to work out what class or model people are driving.
This becomes really hard when NA6/8’s drop in a different engine like Todd, or run slicks, or enter the wrong class, so I need to rely on those who know putting me right.

Stuart’s entry is now fixed and as you said Phil, a very impressive time. I hope that he’ll run in the Interstate Challenge in November, as I can’t remember if you bat for the local or away side in these events.

I used to do the lap records and scoring for the Vic club - any assistance is useful.

I'm batting for NSW from now on. Yes, maybe we need to help Stuart find some semis for the interstate. The Vics have some very serious contenders in that class.

Phil, Stuart McFadyen cut the Class 6 lap record to 1:12.68 at the Club Day on Monday in his NA8. Pretty impressive on street tyres, 14" wheels and a car that's pretty close to stock.

Thanks for the honorable mention Phil! Especially kind of you since it was your record that I pipped... and thanks Phil for updating the times (Sorry took me a while to respond, finally figured out my forum password!).
I can't take all the credit since a new set of sway bars have made the car feel a whole lot better.

I'm not sure about competing in November. I'll definitely be there, but i'm talking to Brian and Mike Hicks at the moment about a little docco/ video piece that I want to do on the clubs motorsport side of things. It would mean me spending the day doing that, so no time to punt the car around the track.

New records from the VERY cold 19th August 2013 Club Track day.

Luke Kovacic shave 0.14 seconds off his stock NC time to record a 1:13.64, I believe that no-one, be they pro (Warren Luff 1:14.1, John Boston 1:14.55) or amateur, has been around Wakefield faster than Luke.

I know Luke, I know. I was being nice and highlighting what a great job you did on the weekend.

I guess I should have Dave Hammon in the blank SE space also but it doubles up the records.

Theoretically this section of the records would just contain stock cars fitted with R-Specs running at Supersprints in Class 1 rather than Club days.

The records following the very hot track day (35 degrees +) on 2 February have now been added.

Most people struggled to get anywhere near their previous times but two did.

Ralph took my NC record with a time of 1:09.52 and Phil Munnings shave 0.03 seconds off Stuart McFadyen's time to record a 1:12.68 in his NA8.

Again, if I have missed anyone's Class record, please let me know.

Actually very pleased with that since it mostly comes from a couple of hours in the shed fiddling around with string and a spirit level to set the alignment back to where it should have been after a couple of thumps. The car has its mojo back again! It was maxing out at only 145kmh in the heat instead of its usual 154ish, so there's plenty left in it if we get the right day.

There were two new records from the sometimes very wet 1st June Club meeting.

First up, Gus in the Clubman Class with a 1:14.95. Going on his posted video, I’m sure if he used two hands on the steering wheel rather than one, he’d have more car control and be much faster.

The other record went to Verne in his turbo 10AE (1:09.55), which probably will be broken by him next time out, as will all the Eastern Creek records for this model. Verne took a break from motorsport from 2006 when the first of two new little Johnson’s entered the world and demanded his time. Verne owned in infamous white turbo NA “GURGLR”, which for a number of years normally took out the fastest time of the day at Club meetings.

Hi Phil,

Next time you are updating you can update my time for Wakefield after last Fridays Nulon Nationals. I manages a 1:08.016 in the morning session with the times now up on Natsoft. Poor old clutch said it didn't want to play so expecting to go quicker next dry Wakefield day.
