Nice! I am quite envious of what you have done to your SE.
Really digging the flares and the XXR's
How's the plastidip holding up?

Oh you black, and faux black SE boys with your tough looking cars!! (Yes Okibi, you too!!)

James - that dent in the front of your bonnet... do not like!!!

I like the matt black and flares too
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

Thanks!
The black is holding up ok, getting lots of chips but unlike normal paint plastidip blends really easly so u can just spray over the chips and no have to do the whole pannel :) , doesn't look pretty on close up but better then a big red hole in the black, no chips have gone through and damaged the original paint yet :). And yea can't bash out that bonnet dint because of the frame stuff on the inside :(

The guys on this forum don't take kindly to cars that are battered and held together with cable ties and sikaflex.

I think even IM treading on thin ice with my car.

Albeit being a time attack orientated build; it still looks "hellaflush" at present stages.

Dan.

Thanks for the kind heads up Dan. When I start caring more about how my car looks to other people then myself and how fun it is to own ill keep that message in my mind. And some don't take to kindly to paintjobs that don't come stock :/

Individuality appears to be taking a bit of a bashing on the forum lately.

It's our differences that keep it all fun and interesting ...

In particular, how's the plastidip holding up on the commonly contacted areas such as the door handles? Do they need constant touch-ups?

I originally used plastidip on my tall long-angled SSK to tone down the chrome shaft since I thought it looked odd. Where the top of the shift boot rubbed the shaft, the plastidip scratched off and got very ratty so I suspect it should only be used on surfaces that don't suffer too much contact.

But that bashing is deservedly so (ie. trying to beat some sense into people).

You are as bad as a certain Mr M...ock that frequents this forum.
Try some free thinking and, more importantly, RESPECT others wishes/choices.
And you are in no position to give a deserved bashing to anyone.
It is about R.E.S.P.E.C.T. dude

James.

Not sure if detecting sarcasm.

Wasn't bashing on your car - I'm digging the matte black and XXRs, albeit being a bit of a rough spray job.

I have some XXR530s for sale in fact!

Sorry - I feel like my previous comment was too specifically aimed at you James. It was more of a general statement.
