Re: 2013 NSW Supersprint Championship
Sorry Bryan,
I had tried to do the maths with the dropped round, but messed-up 1B.
Here's hopping for a good turnout at the final round to help the club pointscore and your chances.
Ed,
Any video of your misadventure(s)?

I sincerely hope not

Sadly, as there were two or three cars closely following, the chances of it having been filmed is a lot higher than I would like.

I never met a horsepower I didn't like (thanks bwob)

Registrations for round 8 on October 26th and Club track day on November 3rd sent today!

Thanks for the report, Dave. Unfortunately I had to sit this round out after I had two wheel nuts jammed and then snapping while removing the FR wheel. That, plus a few complaints coming from the higher command accusing me of working more on the car than on the house we just moved into a month ago, meant a was up for a happy Sunday working around the house.

FWIW, I wasn't there either Gus, but had to attend a wedding in Melbourne over the weekend.
At least you should have built up some brownie points now?

And by the looks of it, so should you!

I am happy to take the class win, even though I was not fastest in the class, but it lacks something as a result.
Speaking of bad days, yesterday could have ended in tears (or worse) with a big lose through the T4 flip-flop, and the car ending with its boot in the tyre wall. The good news is that this was late in the day and I had set a fast time, and the even better news is that car and driver survived basically unscathed.
Ed
Well done to take out the 3B class win, particularly given the few rounds run in your road car.
It seems that for the canberra chapter, to win a trophy requires at least one visit to a tyre wall to prove you are really trying - glad there was no real damage.

Nope. I've not seen one for Saturday either.

I just got a mental picture of Ed arriving at south circuit on Sunday to find it empty, or worse, packed with a bunch of drift cars :-)

Habit is a terrible thing, gets you into all sorts of strife ...

Yes, I was planning to see you all on Saturday, but Sunday just popped out when I wasn't looking

Re: 2013 NSW Supersprint Championship
Yes, a great effort from all. So close ...
As some will be aware, I only completed only two sessions, finding I had no alternator and climbing temperatures when sitting on the grid for the third run and putting the car away for the day at that point.
The racecar is currently sitting in my (roofless) workshop, waiting on a new set of alternator and power steer belts. The alternator/water pump belt is totally shredded, and was the cause of my overheat/loss of coolant, and the other belt is halfway off the pulley. Now to see if there is any other damage - I got away with minor problems when the GM overheated at the first round, can I be so lucky a second time?
It is now time to consider my options for next year - I have pots for 2B and now 3B, what could be next? I feel a new challenge coming on ...
