An MX5 mate and I have talked about a 'round Australia trip' sometime in the future.
I was thinking about the issue of the 'spare'.
My thought was a full-size spare on an alumin. bracket mounted on the tow-bar fitting.
Bit expensive to get it fabricated I guess but would be the optimum solution.

Could be worse, some Toyota 86 guys paid for a car with a spare wheel and Toyota decided to screw them over and not provide one as advertised.
