Dann,
Which part of the system fell on your head and destroyed your faith in it?
Mate, I have no wish to offend you, but really.
Greg.

Re: Got hit tonight.
For the same reason a lot don't trust lawyers I don't trust insurance companies, and choose to buy as little as possible, I was simply pointing out that the reason some people have any insurance is simply because it's illegal not to.

Illegal not to have insurance? Peoples choice of have any form if insurance excluding compulsory 3rd party.NitroDann wrote:For the same reason a lot don't trust lawyers I don't trust insurance companies, and choose to buy as little as possible, I was simply pointing out that the reason some people have any insurance is simply because it's illegal not to.

If you are refering then to compulsory 3rd party. I'm surprized you haven't ranted about that either. Since the government forces their will on us and commands that we pay for it with our rego.

Re: Got hit tonight.
That is what I was referring to, yes.
For sure. I have insurance myself, but I fully understand why someone may not want it, and certainly understand a desire to not be forced to have it.

Re: Got hit tonight.
In that case... you too..?
I was just making a related valid point. Answering a question infact, also it was the correct answer.
Kevgoat: Why bother paying for insurance if you're not going to use their expertise?
Dann: Lack of trust?
Kevgoat: If that's the reason ... why even pay for it in the first place?
Dann: Go to jail if you don't?
That was the conversation.

Re: Got hit tonight.
Dann,
I have a rant re; CTP and multiple vehicle ownership, it sticks in my neck to think that I/ we need to insure inanimate objects for TP, after all you can only operate one vehicle at a time, but I do not believe that here is the place for it.
Lobby your local member.
Greg.

Re: Got hit tonight.
Again, I just correctly answered a question.
Lobbying a member only legitimises the system, I would be torn regarding that decision.

Re: Got hit tonight.
But Dann,
Banging on here does less, and while I am at it writing the AMEP has been a disappointment, particularly since they approached me for support.
Greg.
If all of the motoring affiliations in the country affiliated and modelled themselves on the American ProGun Lobby current politics would be a very different place.

Re: Got hit tonight.
It legitimises the system causing the issues less, that's a positive for me.
You are right, we need a pro gun style lobby system within the current political environment.

Re: Got hit tonight.
Go the Insurance path Doc - safest and the Police know him, have spoken with him and obviously he admitted to them he did it - sorry to hear
Okibi, as for 'tattoos', right now if you are a mature age guy [or gal] the Queensland Police can and will pull you over, make you lift your shirt and sleeves and photograph what tattoos you have, if you are riding a Harley, even worse - we now have 'VLAD' and our Premier unfortunately is on the warpath against CMG's [Criminal Motorcycle Gangs] I have a mate that is a respectable Harley riding train driver - unfortunately now he gets pulled over frequently, last time for a simple thing like they didn't like where his rego label holder was placed - pathetic considering we are doing away with labels in less than a month!!
Hope all works out OK mate
