So with the rain finally easing off this afternoon I decided to take the car out for a bit of a shakedown to make sure everything was working properly.
I was only going for a short 15 minute run around the local streets.....

This turned out to be a HUGE mistake! :(

Greasy roads, exiting a side street, straight into a chicane 50 metres later, then exiting the chicane the back stepped out, I over-corrected and well.......

Which resulted in this.....

And up onto a tow truck where it looked like this....

I'm fine, apart from being very sad. :(

I'm with Shannons, so get to choose my repairer, so it'll be towed down to Hume Smash Repairs tomorrow and I'll have to see what they say.
Damage seems mainly to be to the suspension and both driver's side wheels, I will have to wait and see if they find anything else and it will be a few weeks until I get it back.....

Now I'm going to head off and visit the alcohol fairy for a while and try not to think about it. :|

Damn man, that sucks! So much! At least it's repairable, and your insured. Glad you're ok and no one else was involved

Man, my heart bleeds for you. Looks like no panel damage. I did top down tonight as well, but that was on the way home from work and without the wet road.

Glad you're not hurt, lets hope the damage bill isn't too bad.

Could have been a lot worse, go buy a lotto ticket.
If you had access to a car like this, would you take it back right away? Neither would I.

If the SE wheels are too hard to find maybe Shannon's will let you "downgrade" to some nice enkies ;)

Look on the bright side. It could of been alot worse, you could of easily gone through that fence or even worse into the tree.

Btw, the intake arrived today thanks for every thing! :D :NETPOINTZ:

Thanks for the thoughts everyone, it could have certainly ended up a lot worse, I was a bit concerned when she started to swing the other way into oncoming traffic!
Mercifully I cleared before they got there and just went for a short trip up over the gutter onto some clear ground...... :(

Explaining it all to a very cute police officer resulted in mixed emotions, "yes it's a turbo but I wasn't going hard......I only went for a short drive to test the new gauges....."

Glad it arrived safe, make sure you post some pictures up when you have it installed.

Hmmmm, might need to sell off some more stuff to pay for this...... :|

So did anyone want to comment on my interior mods rather than my suspension mods?
I think they got lost somewhere on the previous page.....

F-U-C-K-!-!-! - that's the same thought that came to mind when I saw your X-Ray.

As others have said, as bad as it was, it could have been MUCH worse for you and your car.

I hope that it looks worse than what it is.

Lucky i know a guy selling some cheap SE wheels.....

At least you can get them to replace your damaged ones..... even though they are not perfect.
