Well folks, I have finally joined the crazy ranks of MX5 owners. A random choice of vehicle? Most probably, but it's a start. I've a had a lot of fun already this week, albeit a couple of short trips around Coffs.
I did some basic maintenance a few days ago viz plugs, leads, oil, filter etc. Drives a thousand times better already. The engine is really smooth. The clutch I think needs a little attention, and a number of hoses/fluids need to be replaced in due time.
Here's a few photos taken this afternoon in Coffs:

Welcome to the obsession, re; the clutch start at the easy end and bleed it first.
Greg.
Greg.
When you turn your car on, does it return the favour?

Thanks Greg. The clutch works perfectly except for a little shudder after engaging first gear. I have felt this on other vehicles too, but not being a mechanic I'm not sure what it is.
