G'day
I previously had an NB and loved it. I'm now looking into a second car and it has to be an MX5. My heart is set on an NA and I've started test driving. However, the steering wheel seems really low in the NA - almost between my knees. I don't recall that being the case in the NB. Is my memory clouded or are the NA and NB different in this respect. (Yes, I'll get in an NB soon as see for myself!)

Can the driver's seat be lowered without major buggering around?

Likely seats, and that NA steering wheels are a larger diameter than NB from memory.
Seat lowering is most commonly done by cutting foam out of the base cushion.

A smaller steering wheel would likely sort it out!

Yep, would be large wheel because not all NAs had power steering.... so bigger wheel = powered leverage steering.
