The coilovers were "installed" in my car 3 times - i.e. in the boot and out the boot haha.
Installer has been really sick and my work schedule has been horrible. I was trying to tee it up with Shane - hope he's OK.
I finally had a day off and got it installed using the 949 alignment specs at Evolution R in Perth (not MX5 specialists).
Wow, the car has transformed. I think my 10 year old SE suspension was a little bit tired.
Now I haven't dríven many other MX5's so I can't compare it to another setup.
The car is stiffer, but at the same time a lot more compliant on the street. Round-abouts are now a lot of fun.
I would even dare say it's more comfortable and the wife agrees.
Off topic: Evolution R deals mainly with WRXs, Evo's and Silvia's in that order. I got a lot of: "I don't like MX5's but man, that looks awesome".
The installer after having a test drive is now convinced he needs to own one haha.

Sorry for the late update - it's taken me a while to get around to these. I finally ordered the Vmaxx Classics from MX5Parts. This model does away with rebound, and offers height adjustment only. Supplied with adjustment wrench, one page instructions, and bump stops. Installed at a garage with an "aggressive" street alignment, similar set up previously.
Done about 1,000 km spirited driving in them now so wanted to share my experiences.
Driving feel - noticeable improvement over the stock SE springs, which are a bit firm to begin with. Stiffer than the stock Bilsteins, yet more compliant over small bumps. I have the car lowered at the moment to 12"/12.5" f/r as recommended on other forums. Scrapes 1 in 5 speed humps and the front end bottoms out under aggressive turns in this setting. Car is definitely more planted, due to lower CoG and possibly more effective shocks.
Thoughts - planning to tweak it a little more travel and reduce the height differential to a more neutral position (ie same ride height 12.5" front and rear). Get lighter wheels or larger profile tyres.
On the whole, happy with the purchase and value for money.
