Skylines can be made to turn pretty well.
You can't completely hide that it has about 300kg (if it's an R32 gtst) more weight than an NA6 but still, a good set of coilovers, refresh of bushes, appropriate anti-sway bars, decent tyres and wheel alignment from a non retard and it'll be close to mx5 handling.

Have you dríven a FC/FD? Because if you are at a point where you are beginning to love the R32, you maybe disappointed.......
disclaimer: I lust after R32 GTR's

The FD is "Sex on Wheels" - I can't understand why anyone would prefer an FC over an FD (probably for the same reason that some guys reckon Anne Hathaway or Uma Thurman are hot when I reckon they just look odd).

Rotary power delivery is very different; as FFG said, drive a few before committing to one.

And you are right, the FC appears to be the car that you require.
Just curious though, why a FC over a FD?

I haven't dríven either but I have a close friend with an FC and have been in it lots, I will ask to take it for a spin when I get full serious about purchasing a car.

I'll answer both you questions in the same post.

Why FC over FD: So when you first see the cars in photos the FD obviously looks so much better than the out-dated shape of the FC, but god, when you see an FC next to an FD in person for the first time it the FC stands out so much more than the FD. also the FD as sort of become the Skyline of the mazda world, too many people have modified them and nothing stands out or is unique. I also personally prefer older cars as they seem to have more character than newer counterparts. Also you see about 20 FD for every 1 FC you see so they have that rarity factor.

But mainly in response to Lokiel: Have you ever seen a properly done FC in person? (there are lots of 2000's auto salon's styled one's getting around which are, ummm... interesting...)

that's the problem though, I can spend all that money and it'll be close to a stock mx5.. My mx5 had coils, and 225 Toyo R888's. I miss being able to completely demolish people up the mountains while they did not expect anything from a P-plater in an mx5.. I surprised a lot of cocky people up there. the 32 is still a big car when you are talking in regards to good mountain cars. and because it's a GTS-T it has a very hard time getting the power down in the corners without getting sideways.. (if only I had known that all you have to do is take out a fuse to make the GTR's and GTS-4's RWD!!)

But yes I completely agree with you looks wise, I don't think many if any cars come close to the look of a 32 GTR, even today.. Imagine what people thought when it was released!!

Exactly... and it wasn't wrecked, it needed a new front bumper and A/c Condenser and the rear damage was minimal, I figured I had gotten my money's worth out of it so I thought it was a great time to move on to bigger and better things

What you need to realise is that people buy cars for different reasons, you obviously bought an MX5 to go on leisurely drives, I on the other hand didn't buy my mx5 for that.

But as always, love the personal attacks on here and Nakama, keep it up, really shows where you are at in your life
