I'm kind of in between then - brand new AD08Rs...so new the sticker label is still on them. Looking forward to some greasy new tyres sliding around in the wet!

Re: December club track day
AD08R's should be fine in damp conditions... Used to run AD08's on my ute which was a daily driver & aside from the normal amount of traction loss (Especially in a V8), they behaved exactly as you'd expect a road tyre to perform

My r specs are basically dead so it could be interesting. Might be on stretched ku31's if it's wet

Some Yokohamas can be very, very greasy when new because of mould release compound. Don't know if this applies to the AD08Rs as well but if it were me I'd be putting a few hundred Ks on them first.

Unfortunately won't be able to put kms on the car as it's be de-reg'd. So this will be an interesting weekend. Not out to put times down but run the tyres in, get a feel of the car as it's much lighter having been stripped (partially)...so more for fun.

The Honda is 4x100 yeah? Put the wheels on the mx. I'm sure with the turbo you could scrub then in pretty fast

Unfortunately not. The DC2R is 5x114.3...and none of my other cars run the same stud pattern!
I did contemplate calling in a few favours / borrowing cars...but barely have time to clean the car (or even finish stripping it!)

Hey Bryan, my NC is 5x114.3
Bring them around and I'll .... erm ... scrub them in for you ... on my daily commute :-)

Re: December club track day
For those going to the Circuit Club event on the Saturday, looks like we're going to have a wet one on our hands... Sunday is looking better, but would suggest there's still going to be a bit of water around:

Re: December club track day
I think rainfall predictions are a bit of a coin flip. It has been defying predictions and hasn't rained down in Goulburn between the hours of 9am-4pm this week so let's hope that keeps up

Alright then Dan.. taking your word for it and put on me (now rock-hard) v700s..
Should be an interesting drive back in the now traditional afternoon thundershower..
Had some trouble getting in / out of the race suit. . . Can't imagine how bad it's going to get by Christmas...

Re: December club track day
I've been at the track this evening. Basically it's been bucketing down all afternoon. A lot of water running across turn 1 and the fishook which won't clear up tomorrow. Bring your wets and your gumboots.

Re: December club track day
That sucks... I looked up that recent weather history page before swapping tyres.. there was no rain until 3 and then wow...
Even on full tread these tyres have only 2-3mm tread depth... tried the fingernail test after I put them on...lol... I think the track will be softer than the tyres...
I think tomorrow will be a day for VERY careful driving, eh Bryan Shedden?) ;)
