David Stone ran NA8 brakes with Carbotech XP12s for years doing 1:07s at power levels much higher than yours. Shouldn't need more than that surely!

hmm, if the first half of the sentence is correct then it isnt the brakes as the limiting factor for the second half
Bigger brakes wont change where you brake, just how well you can control the heat produced.

What is stopping you (pardon the pun) from braking later now?

The issue with the NA6 brakes is getting enough rear. I'm certainly braking later on the track with my current brakes than my stock NA6 ones... but not by much. I almost cheered in the car when the tail was squirming under brakes.

I think a setup worth looking at is upgrading the rear caliper (not the rotor) to the sports caliper. Getting a larger pot size should give 25% more rear with little change in rotating or unsprung mass.
