None of it related?Driv3r wrote:project.r.racing wrote:I see many flaws with this:-
No timeframe was given for delivery.
Expectation for timeframe of delivery was unreasonable.
Left too late to order, but ordered anyway.
Couldn't be arsed driving to collect items originally, which should've been done in first place due to time constraints.
With respect, non of what you say is related to the topic.
Issue was that they failed to respond to calls and messages. Had they responded, I'd Have drove to collect knowing it's ok to do so. As the title now says it, it was all a misunderstanding and it's sorted anyway.
You didn't by an item on ebay on wednesday?
You chose not to drive 35km to buy an item and instead brought it on ebay and have it shipped?
You didn't type a post with the hope/expectation that it would turn up before saturday?
You didn't type a post stating a email containing you were willing to drive to collect it if it wasn't gonna arrive by Saturday?
Look I'm sorry if you like I'm picking on you. But it wasn't a misunderstanding. You state that they failed to respond, so no communication occurred, how could a misunderstanding occur? You made a mistake and got typing on a keyboard in haste. We all do it sometime in our lives. Accept fault and move on. Don't call it a misunderstanding to deflect fault from yourself.
Just type:- "I'm a arse and I hit the keyboard in haste."
The MX5 community will forgive. haha

I hope you left feedback and that those extra 4 seconds of your time should not be wasted again?Dundy2456 wrote:I went in store to order a part and the gentleman behind the counter took the better part of 14 seconds to retrieve the item from the storeroom.
I'm not saying this was slow, but had they placed the desk closer to the store room it would have sped up the service.

That's good to know. What measures are there to prevent your postie from losing bits of your delivery though? It was a few years ago so presumably before the tracking improved, but I had ordered some springs and shocks for my old commodore. The springs turned up, without the shocks, and the parcel had been 'signed for' by the deliverer themselves. They were left on my doorstep, sans shocks, with his scribble saying I signed for them. Contacted the seller who confirmed 2 packages were sent together, and within an hour they contacted me to tell me they were sending more shocks at AusPost's expense, despite being delivered registered, but not insured.
The postie in that area was pretty bad for being a lazy guy though. Would regularly leave things at the door which needed to be signed for. Guess the springs were too heavy to drag back across the yard...
Unfortunately stuff still gets lost occasionally, though hopefully less often now with the new procedures put into place. You are talking about a set of car springs so don't blame your postie. They can only deliver parcels up to 2kg that fit into the side pannier on the bike. Anything bigger or heavier will get delivered by a parcel contractor. If you receive a red or green card telling you something is ready to pick up from the Post Office then your postie has delivered it. If it's a blue card then it was delivered by the contractor. These guys come and go fairly regularly depending on how well they are doing their job. I'm guessing if he was forging signatures then he no longer contracts for AP.

Not everything they sell is listed on their website. I bought a second hand item listed on their eBay shop. It's not something you just drive there to buy. They list it, you see it on eBay then you buy it. So no, I couldn't drive 35km to see if they have the second hand part for sale.
No!project.r.racing wrote:You didn't type a post with the hope/expectation that it would turn up before saturday?

Again, why would I wanna drive there not knowing if they've already sent it or if I can pickup? I wouldn't wanna go there to find out they've just mailed it would I?

You're wrong! I didn't make any mistake, MX5 Mania failed to respond to my messages and phone calls. They have already emailed me apologising for this. So as a matter of politeness I said it was a misunderstanding. I saw that they admitted delay in response and that shows they really care. Therefore I stated in my post that MX5 Mania rocks because they do. But seems like you're not gonna let this go.

..... Must have been someone else using your account to type the opening post then?Driv3r wrote:Bought an item from their eBay store on Wed morning, paid straight away hoping I received it by Sat (since I'm only 35km away) so I can work on the car. On the other hand, I ordered instrument rings from I.L.Motorsport head office in Germany on Tuesday, got them delivered to my door today (Friday).
Well, such is life.

As for the rest of your failing memory and failed attempt to deflect fault. Good luck to you. It is all there in text. We all know whom the arse is. Nothing else can be said more on the matter.

I remember one of first experiences in the work force after being in the defence forces for ten years, I said "have some patience". The reply I was given, and now use is "patients belong in hospitals, want to join them". Always makes me smile making the reply.

haha Interesting story magpie.
Gotta love customer service. No one wants to pay for it. Everyone wants it though. If something goes wrong, we wanna tear into it. And people wonder why it is dissappearing.

I could never work in customer service, so I give the people who enjoy it respect.
Australia could learn from other countries with respect to customer service, however we do not have a large customer base and mature markets. Yes we can buy from overseas after, easier and with good service however I still prefer face to face or using the phone.
I will enquire on line but only respond to those who respond to me, no Rennes I move on. Example was looking for splitter material, a few on line enquiries (no replies) then an enquiry (by phone) to the people who supplied to ZoomZoom. Bingo, so helpful on the phone sale made!

Have you ever used eBay? There is a delivery time under 'Buy Now' option. Regardless, you're still not getting the point and I'v tried my best not to point that out as an insult!
I'll point this out one last time: it doesn't matter how, when, why, how far, what kind, how much or how late the item was bought or ordered. The main issue was the fact that they didn't correspond on time. If they did, then all the things that I just said "it doesn't matter", would automatically matter.
They've already agreed with me and we sorted everything but you have to jump in and open this up again. We've both left this in good terms but seems like you have a personal agenda.

We all know whom the arse is. Nothing else can be said more on the matter.
As far as I can see most agreed with lack of correspondent being the issue. So it's not 'We', it's only you! And if you're a good sport, you won't keep dragging this any further.

You responded and quoted what I said after everything was sorted out. Don't blame me for dragging it along.

Re: Just a misunderstanding. MX5 Mania rocks
The OP's complaint is a legitimate one.
I had a number of dealings with this business in the past.
I do not wish to drag up old grievances so I will just say this.
In my experience, a lot of businesses which provide good service 'face-to-face' provide very bad service externally.
Communication is poor or non-existent - think many unanswered emails & phone messages not responded to at all.
I am a very patient purchaser and never expect unreasonable dispatch/delivery times but I do get frustrated by businesses that simply fail to communicate what is happening, particularly when they have had my money for several weeks (on the basis that the part was in inventory and simply needed to be dispatched).
If you are in business, and you require pre-payment for goods then you have a very serious obligation to provide those goods ASAP or ensure the customer knows what is happening.

I skimmed a bit of this thread, from my basic understanding part was ordered Wednesday and delivered Friday?
You are going to be in for some disappointment dealing with suppliers if this is a poor result

Re: Just a misunderstanding. MX5 Mania rocks
I hate to say it but I've had the same experiences with them.. So far I'm yet to find any decent stores for mx5 or general car bits in aus, I don't even bother any more. When I need stuff I go to miata roadster. I will send an email late at night and get reply a couple of hours later and not 3 or 4 days later!
