I'm Andy and this is a thread about my whip, a 1990 JDM Eunos Roadster NA6 I bought off Timmeh.
You can check out his build thread here, that's it's history.
Some crap about me:
I've never been into cars before, I'm a bike guy, my first car was a Peugeot 306 convertible and I only had it as long as legally required before I sold it off and got a bike. At some point in my travels I must have hit my head and suddenly I felt like getting into cars.
My weapon of choice is always the underdog; bikes that you have to grit your teeth and hold flat because if you shut off for a corner you don't have enough power to get it back up to speed and then every dick with an inline 4 blows past you like you're standing still. There's no greater feeling than passing those fellas around the outside on a corner.
So the MX5 seemed to be the ideal car choice for me. Small, "underpowered", excellent handling, not overly expensive, and convertible!
So cut to the chase, here it is once I bought it, put some cheap steel wheels on, did the major service and gave it a wash.

Took it to a downshift coffee and circuit, here's a photo of me chopping a rex, true story.

That day I got crashed into by a dudes girlfriend driving his Infiniti G35 Skyline, she spun out and just kissed my passenger door. The damage is so minimal it's not worth showing, you can just see it in the next pic.
The stripped interior looked ghetto af and the car had so many rattles it was driving me insane! The cabin noise and heat was crazy. Took the seats out and went over ever bolt and nut in the interior. Some of them were near falling out, barely finger tight. The roll cage was loose, the seat belt mounts loose, panels loose, everything loose. I actually feel stupid for driving it before checking all of this over, I just assumed it would be fine. Such is life, it's all fixed now.
I put in some NB carpet, minus the sound deadening, and some floor mats. The interior looks tidy now, but still maintains the stripped interior benefits. (notice the shagged paint, that's going to be fixed some day..)

Installed a carbon fibre wing.

Realised that at 12.3kg each, steel wheels and an N/A car don't go well together, I'm still learning about cars, rotating mass isn't such an issue on bikes.
Sold the steel and scored some Konig Flatout's in 15x8 ET25 weighing in at 5.8kg each. Mad gutter rash on them for weight reduction, going to get that fixed at some point soon and paint them satin black to get the stealth look back.

Shout out to Jaz and Matt for hooking me up with some spare wheels to get me around while I was in the process of getting the new ones! Thanks!
I've purchased some Tein coilovers and some bigger brakes and will be installing those soon, stay tuned.
