Yup as said before no powersteer and no A/C and looks to have never had it fitted, so for some a more desirable combination than others.

The steering will be "heavy" at parking speeds, but will give you good feel at driving speeds. The wheels won't be helping matters, but it is not the end of the world, despite what some might say.

A/C can be retro fitted, but will be a pain as you need a fair bit of stuff to do, like get the compressor, condensor, drier receiver, all the lines, then swap out the HVAC controls from your car for one with A/C, plus associated wiring and so on. It could work out cheaper to find a car with A/C and Powersteer already fitted and off load the current one.

It's not like these are rare cars at all, and compared to Australia, the west coast of the US should have eleventy bazillion more than we have.

Looks like you may have made the rookie mistake and bought the first one you saw rather than test drive and look at a few. Something I am still guilty of doing with my cars.... and will probably do the same in the next few months when looking for a cheap run about that is a bit more practical in seating more than 2 people.
