Hi all,
Is anyone from the Mx-5 world planning on entering this? The YouTube clips make it look like a pretty stunning location.
This year will be its last apparently due to some redevelopment in the Park. It'd be a 7 hour drive down from QLD for me, so thinking about whether to make a short holiday of it.
Entries are open on the meecams website and appear to be filling up fast.
Cheers,
Hanson

However will check.

I'd enter sooner rather than later, as I assume it will be even harder to get a start than previous years.
Sat is a round of NSW H/C champs, & those registered in series get preference.
Likewise on Sun for those registered in Tri-Series (annual series between Newcastle MG, Tamworth & Kempsey car clubs)
Max field is 70/75 drivers & quite a lot of older drivers enter via mail, & don't appear on Cams event entry.
Cheers

I won't be running but I may be on the microphone, again. If I have a chance I'll get round to chat with all the MX5ers before going up in the cherry picker.

I've popped an entry in for the Sunday event, but I'm not a regular competitor in the local competition, so understand it may or may not be approved.

Is the Sunday event the Tri-Challenge or the NSW State round?
If the past is anything to go by, you will have a better chance of getting into the State round rather than the Tri-Challenge, as the locals queue up for the interclub event, but the State round contains mostly out of towners, and there are less of them.
Let me know if you get a start and I will attempt to seek you out on the day.

The State round is the Sunday - I thought I'd go for that one as it appears to be a local inter-club comp on the Monday. That way I will be able to have a go, and then either drive home on the Monday, or stay as a spectator on the Monday.
I will post here if I end up being accepted and attending.
