I just fitted low kings springs and koni yellows to the front and Im surprised that the ride height didnt change.
I know the std springs would have sagged but--- damn I really thought it would go lower

You can get Kings to make a custom set of whatever spring rate and height you want.
(last time I got kings to do this for me, prob about 7 years ago now, it was the same price as their off the shelf springs)
I emailed kings springs and their reply was
"
Our low part numbers and rates are
KMFL-52 front 165-215lb
KMRL-53 rear 105-160lb
Custom coils will be approx $320.00 per pair and can do your required rate
in linear rate.

$640 for springs is pretty steep thats nearly half way to buying decent coilovers.

I was thinking of getting coilovers (yellowspeed or alike) to firm the suspension up and lower it to 2-3.

I've got a set of Carrols springs that I had in for a week, looked great but found it a hassle to drive around as it is my daily driver & I'm an old fart & am used to lifted vehicles, the MX5 fits under my jeeps chassis rails
How much did they drop your car? Do you know the rates? Im dissappointed with my kings low springs
